Here’s what they actually are, why the hype is what it is, and the part nobody covers: the three very different places you can buy them, and why the price swings by a factor of ten.

Longevity peptides are prescription injectables marketed for energy, cellular repair and healthy aging. The three driving the current market are NAD+, glutathione and sermorelin. Strictly speaking only sermorelin is a peptide; NAD+ is a coenzyme and glutathione is a tripeptide antioxidant, but the industry sells all three under the same banner and the same clinics stock all three.

What they share is the thing that actually matters to a buyer: each is available through three completely different supply routes, at prices that differ by a factor of ten, with completely different accountability attached.

NAD+ Injection Cost: What You Pay, and What It Actually Does

The mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell. NAD+ is the fuel they run on.

It’s a coenzyme sitting in every cell you own, doing the unglamorous work of turning food into usable energy and running the repair crews that patch your DNA. And it declines with age. That single fact, that levels drop as you get older, is the entire engine of the hype. Put it back, the thinking goes, and you put back what went with it.

The names attached to it are why it went mainstream. Andrew Huberman takes NAD+ precursors daily, 500 mg of NR and one to two grams of NMN, the NMN sublingually, in the morning. He’s been specific about why: not to live longer, but for what he describes as sustained mental and physical energy through the day. David Sinclair at Harvard built much of his public profile on this class of molecule.

Worth knowing: Huberman has also done the NAD+ IV drip. Twice. He described it as uncomfortable enough that he slowed the drip, and said he doesn’t see himself doing it often. That is a useful data point, because the drip is the expensive way.

The reported benefits are energy, mental clarity and recovery. The evidence is thinner than the marketing, and we cover exactly how thin further down.

Glutathione Injection Price, Benefits, and Why Clinics Pair It With NAD+

Glutathione injection price: $149 per month compounded, or $419 for three months. At a clinic, glutathione is rarely priced on its own. It is added to an NAD+ visit, which is why the sourced per-session figures above are the number worth comparing against.

If NAD+ is the energy story, glutathione is the cleanup story.

It’s an antioxidant your body makes itself, concentrated heavily in the liver, where it spends its life mopping up the damage of being alive: metabolic waste, oxidative stress, everything your body processes and has to neutralize. It’s often called the master antioxidant, and unlike most supplements-of-the-month it has been in compounded injectable form in US pharmacies for years.

Why the hype now? Partly because it pairs. Walk into any longevity clinic and glutathione is on the menu beside NAD+, usually in the same visit, often in the same IV bag. The energy one and the cleanup one. It sells itself as a set.

That bundling is also why glutathione is the easiest of the three to overpay for. When it rides along on a $500 drip, you never see its own price. Bought as a standalone prescription, you do.

Sermorelin Cost Per Month, and What It Actually Does

Sermorelin cost per month: $149, or $419 for three months at YesClinic. Sermorelin acetate is prescription-only, so there is no legitimate route to it that skips a clinician.

Growth hormone has a reputation, and it’s earned. So sermorelin became the workaround.

It’s an analog of growth hormone releasing hormone. Instead of injecting growth hormone into your body, it goes upstream and signals your pituitary to release more of its own. Your body keeps the throttle. That single design difference is why clinicians are far more comfortable with it, and why it’s been prescribed in the US for decades while the direct route stayed controversial.

It comes up constantly in lifting circles, usually attached to claims about body composition. Worth being blunt about that: what sermorelin is popular for and what sermorelin is proven to do are not the same list. It is not approved for body recomposition, no clinician should be implying otherwise, and any clinic that blurs the two is telling you something about itself.

On sermorelin results generally: expectations set by forum posts and before-and-after photos are not a clinical evidence base. Your clinician setting your protocol against your own labs is worth more than any of it.

Peptide Therapy Cost: IV Clinic vs Gray Market vs YesClinic

There are three completely different ways to buy these compounds. The cheapest route is the one with no accountability attached, and the most expensive one is mostly paying for the room.

NPR’s May 2026 review of the category put IV infusions at $200 to upwards of $1,000 for a single drip session. Boston Magazine’s January 2026 survey of that city’s longevity industry landed around $500. Most of that is the room, the nurse and ninety minutes of somebody’s afternoon.

The gray market is where most of the internet actually buys, and the advice is always the same: any research supplier will do, just check the certificate of analysis.

That certificate is the problem.

It’s a document the seller provides. Sometimes a third-party lab produced it. Sometimes the seller made it in Canva. You can’t tell from the PDF. And purity and sterility are different tests. A vial can be 99% pure and still carry bacterial endotoxin from a non-sterile fill. You’re injecting this. Endotoxin is the thing that gives you a fever and a very bad night.

“Not for human consumption” on the label isn’t a technicality. It’s the seller telling you in advance that if this goes wrong, you were warned.

The Caveat We’re Not Going to Bury

No randomized trial has shown an NAD+ drip slows human aging. The preclinical work is genuinely interesting. The human outcome data is thin, and it’s thin for injectable glutathione too.

You don’t have to take our word for it. NPR’s May 2026 review of the evidence found that for NAD+ shots there is no published data from well-controlled human studies, and for IV infusions there is almost no published data at all. Huberman is straightforward about this himself: he takes it for daily energy, not for lifespan.

Buy these because you’ve read the research and want to try them. Not because somebody promised you a result.
