We’re currently living in a world in which the media.
To a certain degree influences how we think and act.
They tell us to fear something and we fear it.
They tell us that we need something.
And we convince ourselves that we need it.
And that just isn’t how it should be.
When the vast majority of the human race hear the word ‘steroids’ their blood runs cold, they panic, and they instantly fear the worst.
The word ‘steroids’ conjure up images of enormous bodybuilders, roid rage, mood swings, heart attacks, high blood pressure, domestic violence.
And much more besides, but is this really fair?
Well, not really.
Anabolic steroids have gotten a hell of a bad rap by the media over the last few decades.
Yet prescription drugs that have side-effects listed such as ‘may cause suicidal tendencies’.
They don’t bat an eyelid at.
We can guarantee that if anabolic steroids were still legal like they were decades ago.
People would certainly not view them in such a negative light.
That brings us to professional bodybuilding.
Today we are going to be looking at Big Ramy performance-enhancing drug allegations and possible usage.
As we attempt to discover whether or not one of the biggest bodybuilders on the planet.
And one of the most exciting prospects for the world of pro bodybuilding is on steroids or whether he is natural.
Below you’ll learn who Big Ramy is.
His early life, his training philosophies, and of course.
Whether the Big Ramy steroid accusations are true or not.
Before we can begin addressing Big Ramy’s potential steroid use.
We need to cover our backs legally first.
The content in this article is a pure opinion rather than a fact.
We don’t know Ramy personally and we have no idea whether he is.
Or even was, on anabolic steroids.
We don’t condone anabolic steroid use as steroids are very dangerous.
But at the same time, we won’t judge people that use them either.
If people are going to use them, we would rather that they did so safely.
In a safe and controlled manner.
So, now that that’s out of the way.
Let’s look at who Big Ramy is.
Who Is Big Ramy?
Big Ramy, or Mamdouh Elssbiay, is an IFBB pro bodybuilder from Egypt.
Who many consider being a future Mr. Olympia – If he is able to dial in his conditioning.
He is one of the biggest bodybuilders in the history of the sport.
And, in all honesty, you have to see him in person to appreciate just how enormous he is.
We all know about Mass Monsters in the world of bodybuilding.
But Ramy has taken this concept and flipped it on its head.
He stands at 5ft 9 inches in height.
And he weighs in at 295 pounds.
Oh, and that’s just when he competes.
That’s right when he competes and diets down.
He gets on stage weighing 295 pounds!
That’s astonishing, considering some of the biggest guys on stage normally compete at around 240 – 260.
When he is off-season he doesn’t look human.
Seriously, he is enormous when bulking as he weighs around 310 – 315 pounds. a 5ft 9-inch man that weighs anything close to 300 pounds is astonishing.
Yet Ramy gets up to 315 without even trying.
He’s a freak of nature and many consider him to be the future of the sport of professional bodybuilding.
Some, however, are not as keen on Ramy as they believe he is ruining the sport for promoting the Mass Monster look that has divided so many people.
Ramy turned pro in 2012 when he won his pro card after just 2 years of serious weight training.
So, from picking up a set of dumbbells for the first time seriously.
Ramy was able to win an IFBB pro card, numerous sponsorships.
And was able to compete at some of the most prestigious bodybuilding contests in the world.

Early life
Ramy was born in Alexandra, Egypt in September of 1984.
He was born into a family of fishermen and he himself worked that very trade until the year 2010.
He grew up in one of the poorer parts of Egypt.
And life was tough growing up.
He worked very hard as a fisherman and worked long hours.
Which meant that there was not much time for anything else.
He actually moved to Kuwait to fish, and would regularly fish the Kuwaiti waters.
As he grew older, he showed a bit of an interest in weightlifting.
And when he did have time to himself, he would squeeze a workout in here and there.
Although this was nothing major.
He was a naturally big man, and one day, on a rare day off.
He decided to attend the prestigious Oxygen Gym in Kuwait.
He loved the gym, loved the atmosphere, and loved the equipment.
And had one heck of a workout.
He enjoyed it that much that he made a point of returning to train again and again.
He soon started to build muscle and increase in size.
And it was clear he was genetically gifted when it came to bodybuilding.
Not only that, but working as a fisherman had also helped him to become fit, big, and strong.
Which gave him an advantage.
Bader Bodai, the owner of Oxygen Gym.
He started to take note of the big Egyptian and encouraged him to step up his training and to take it seriously, with the goal of competing.
Bader was a former trainer and nutritionist for IFBB Pro Dennis James.
And as Dennis regularly trained at the gym.
He was encouraged to work with Ramy to help him unlock his hidden potential.
After just two years of training.
Ramy stepped on stage and won the Kuwait Golden Cup in 2012.
Shortly after that he competed at the Kuwait amateur and stepped on stage ripped to shreds, weighing 286 pounds.
He won 1st place again, and also won his IFBB pro card at just his second show.
It was clear that Ramy was something special.
He gained over 100 pounds of muscle after just two years of training.
But it was in 2013 when he exploded onto the scene, where he won the New York Pro.
Nobody in the US, or outside of the Middle-East.
I had really seen Ramy before.
Yet here he was, close to 300 pounds of solid muscle, dominating the stage and winning one of the most prestigious bodybuilding contests in the world, with just his third competition.
That same year he competed at Mr. Olympia alongside Phil Heath.
And finished a very respectable 8th, though many believe that he should have been in the top 4.
Since then he has competed at Olympia every year since.
And each year he has placed better.
Last year he narrowly missed out on a 1st place, taking 2nd.
And solidifying the fact that he is almost certainly going to be a future Mr. Olympia winner if he can stay healthy.

Big Ramy Steroids Use
Now that we know about Ramy’s training history.
We will now address though Big RamypPerformance enhancing drugs rumors.
That just doesn’t seem to go away.
Ramy is a freak of nature, and there is no way any man should be that size and weight at his height.
So, you can understand why Big Ramy’s performance-enhancing drug accusations are being thrown around a lot.
But are they justified?
Well, let’s take a look, shall we?
Here are several pieces of evidence both for, and against, potential steroid use on Ramy’s part:
His Size
Okay, first and foremost we’ll start with the basics.
Big Ramy isn’t known as ‘Big’ Ramy just to be ironic.
He actually got his nickname because he was able to gain 100 pounds of muscle in less than two years.
He is less than 5ft 10 and he weighs more than 300 pounds of solid muscle.
A man standing 6ft 5-inches tall would be considered huge if he weighed 300 pounds.
So for Ramy, this amount of size is just freakish.
Right away we’re calling steroids because even with the best genes in the world.
Surely getting that big would be impossible?
Transformation
To get a rough idea of whether or not a person is on steroids.
Or whether they have even taken steroids, it is a good idea to see if they have undergone a physical transformation in a short space of time.
Many steroid users gain 20 – 30 pounds per cycle.
Over the course of 12 weeks or so, which would simply not be possible naturally.
Ramy, when he first started training seriously, weighed less than 200 pounds.
Just two years later, he had shot up in weight by more than 100 pounds of solid muscle and was one of the biggest guys training at the gym.
This amount of size naturally is virtually impossible.
So again, it doesn’t look promising for Ramy when it comes to being natural.
His Condition
Unfortunately, there are plenty of men under 6 feet in height, that weigh around 300 pounds.
The problem is that the majority of them weigh 300 pounds of fat, not muscle.
Ramy is not only carrying a great deal of bulk and mass, but he is also in very good condition.
Even when he is bulking to 315 pounds.
He still has visible abs, vascularity, and low body fat percentages.
To simply get abs at any weight is an accomplishment in itself, but to have abs when you weigh more than300 pounds off-season is astonishing.
What’s more, when he competes on stage.
He weighs around 295 and is ripped to shreds at around 4% body fat, perhaps even less than that.
To get down to that condition.
And to stay relatively lean with visible abs at over 300 pounds is simply amazing.
And we don’t think it is possible naturally.
Steroid Cycle Leaked?
Not too long ago, you may remember that there was quite a bit of controversy surrounding Big Ramy PED accusations.
As it is believed that one of his steroid cycles was actually leaked online.
By a former trainer at Oxygen Gym, during the time that Ramy was training there and bulking up.
The cycle was believed to be the one he used when bulking.
To take him from around 180 pounds to 280 pounds in weight.
We know that anybody could post a steroid cycle and pass it off as genuine.
But if the cycle really is Ramy’s, the amount of drugs he is taking is insane.
If you want to check it out.
It looks something like this:
- HGH
- Insulin
- Testosterone Enanthate – 5000mgs per week
- Trenbolone Enanthate
- Equipoise
- Deca Durabolin
- Dianabol
- Anadrol
- Anavar
- Myostatin (GDF-8) blocking peptides
- Clenbuterol
Signs Of Steroid Use
Other than the fact that he is so enormous, Ramy also shows some signs of steroid use.
Including the fact that he has a growth gut.
Which could be down to the excessive use of HGH he allegedly takes.
He also has flushed skin, very rounded shoulders, acne, and very mild signs of gyno.
Verdict
In terms of Big Ramy steroids accusations.
You won’t be shocked to hear that we believe that Ramy is in fact, using steroids.
There is just to much evidence to think otherwise.
And besides which, he is not just huge.
He is unnaturally huge.
