Turkesterone vs Ecdysterone

Interestingly enough, both of these are actually the same thing! Turkesterone is a form of Ecdysterone, but is is commonly known as the strongest of all the Ecdysteroids.

As you can see, there are similarities between the two, and the only difference is the addition of a Hydroxide compound. This may seem like a small change, but remember, Chloride is poisonous to inhale. Sodium explodes in water. Put them together, and you have Salt.

What is Turkesterone?

Turkesterone supplements can be classified as one of the Steroid hormones found in plats that have anabolic properties, Ecdysteroids. The big difference between any any Ecdysteroid and normal Steroids, is the fact that the former does not bind to an Androgen receptor to ellicit hypertrophy.

Created from the Ajuga turkestanica plant, this plant steroid has the ability to increase muscle mass by increasing protein synthesis [1].

Is Turkesterone Legal?

While the amount of healthy human subjects taking Steroids is rising, many will want to opt for something that is both going to help with lean muscle building, but doesn’t have any side effects such as liver toxicity. Luckily Turkesterone supplements are perfectly legal and does have some anabolic activity on skeletal muscle.

What is Ecdysterone?

Ecdysterone is a naturally occurring steroid found in Antropods, and it controls both ecdysis and metamorphosis. It is also found within certain plants, just like Turkesterone. Ecdysterone does display anabolic effects, and so has been used as a medicine for hundreds of years by people. Unlike regular anabolic androgenic steroids, it is unlikely to ever possess kidney toxicity [2].

So, which should I buy?

You’re probably better off buying Turkesterone. There is nothing wrong with Ecdysterone, but Turkesterone seems to be better at yielding anabolic results compared to Ecdysterone.

Is Turkesterone the same as Ecdysterone?

Not exactly. Turkesterone is a type of Ecdysterone, meaning both could increase protein synthesis leading to activating satellite cells and resulting in muscle growth. That being said, it does seem like Turkesterone supplements have a greater anabolic potency compared to Ecdysterone.

Is Ecdysterone stronger than Turkesterone?

Actually, the reverse is true. Turkesterone seems to be a way stronger as far as anabolic agents go. Unlike a lot of Testosterone boosters on the market like D Aspartic acid, these two do seem to work. More research is required however, as some studies say they make you gain muscle, and some don’t.

Can you stack Ecdysterone and Turkesterone?

Would you want some water with your ice? Sure, by all means, you could stack these two theoretically, but it might not be necessary. Turkesterone is the stronger of the two, and stacking both won’t necessarily lead to more lean muscle mass [3].

There are also no studies done on using both for anabolic activity, and some side effects may make themselves known if you double down. It doesn’t make sense to me personally, as they both harness the same anabolic pathways.

Does Ecdysterone increase Testosterone?

Testosterone is produced in response to two hormones produced by the gonadotropic cells in response to GnRH produced by the hypothalamus. There is currently zero evidence that Ecdysterone and Turkesterone supplements increase Testosterone levels. There is no direct or indirect stimulation of LH or FSH production.

If you are looking for something that does boost testosterone, you could look at introducing something called HCG – human chorionic gonadotropin. This will increase LH levels leading to higher Test levels as well.

How do you take Turkesterone powder?

Unlike conventional Anabolic Steroids, you don’t have to inject it! You take Turkesterone supplements very similarly to pre workout supplements. You either get a capsule or a powder that you take on a daily basis, combined with resistance training.

This combination allows for the greatest amount of skeletal muscle hypertrophy, especially when you eat a diet rich in protein as well.

Is Turkesterone a Steroid?

The term Steroid can be described as artificial versions of the male hormone Testosterone or derivatives of Testosterone. While most Steroid hormones today are indeed made of plants, they are not the same as Turkesterone.

An anabolic steroid will bind to androgen receptors throughout the body and induce anabolism (and side effects ). Turkesterone supplements nor ecdysterone supplementation do not bind to Androgen receptors.

Steroids also seem to be way more powerful when looking at muscle strength, muscle protein synthesis, and overall skeletal muscle growth.

How effective is Ecdysterone?

Compared to conventional Anabolic Steroids or SARMs, not very. While Ecdysterone supplementation certainly has some capability to increase lean muscle mass, it just isn’t as effective as Steroids and SARMs.

Sure, if muscle building isn’t your only goal, and you care about health, they seem to be a lot better. You also have no risk of interaction with the Estrogen receptor, meaning zero chance of Gyno development.

Is Ecdysterone legal?

While Eddysterone is perfectly legal to purchase and is not on the prohibited substances list for WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), it is on their “watch” list, and needs to be researched more for a better efficacy and safety profile.

Is Turkesterone a banned substance?

Currently, pure Turkesterone is not a banned substance. There are only a few studies at the moment, and more are definitely needed. However, currently, there is no legal complications when purchasing this muscle building supplement.
