Default Working Night Shifts & Rotating Shifts & Training

Any other folks out there working shift work?? Night shifts, rotating between days evenings and nights like me??

How do folks find the energy to train? What strategies do folks use?

It knocks the crap out of me.

Finished work at 7am today, bed 7:30 am . . .awake at Midday.

Should be training today, Bench, Squat.

I trained third shift and rotating. It killed me. I had to minimize training to 2 days per week and lift before work.

Night shifts suck for training... we are NOT nocturnal!

Discipline of schedule is key.

I never had a problem with it. I just trained at the same time relative to when I woke up. Wake up at 4am train at 7am ish. Wake up at 2pm train at 7pm ish. Diet is same, I don't eat breakfast so eat 3-4 hours after I wake up. Now I train later in the day and its even easier.

Cheers folks for replies.

When I actually went to the gym that day I wrote that post . . .after a slow start I just got stuck in and actually had a great session.

Funny.

Recovery is a bit slower alright.

Like was said above less days can may be the key.

Im on a 3 day a week workout schedule and it seems to be fitting better.
