Strong lifting, dude. I'd agree with the starting position really affecting lockout. I'd also agree with a "better" starting position for lockout leading to slower off the floor...but might be worth it.

BENCH PRESS

Foam roll and band stretch

Bench press
Bar x lots x 3
60kgs x 8
Add 40kgs chains. All chain off floor at top. All remaining sets done with chains.
60kgs x 3
75kgs x 2
90kgs x 1
102.5kgs x 1
Add shirt
120kgs x 2board x 1
130kgs x 1board x 1
137.5kgs x 1 PB
145kgs x 1 PB

Light band tricep pushdowns 2 sets of lots
Rolling dumbell extensions 12.5kgs 2 sets of 10-12

Had a great session last night. Washed the shirt and also had my handler jack it down a lot more. Got much better support and was controlling the reps much better. Last time I pressed against this much chain in my shirt I had less of the chain off the floor. By setting them lower I had more contrast and a harder lockout. I also have to deal with the chain swinging at the top. I like this as it helps me balance heavy weights. Last PB was 135 with a close attempt at 140 so blew both of those out of the water. Very confident now heading into the meet. Just need to check my opener next week and I'm ready to go.


Off to the Bodypower Expo tomorrow so no training. Will be back in to squat on Tuesday.
