1) BPC 157: Best for Injuries

BPC 157 is a favorite amongst thousands of athletes and bodybuilders because of its ability to trigger angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood cells.

This process can trigger faster healing and a faster generation of cells. Another nifty thing that BPC 157 accomplishes is that it can inhibit or block the effects of 4-hydroxynonenal.

4-hydroxynonenal is a growth-limiting compound, hence its limitation can further accelerate healing.

Studies have found that BPC can help in the healing of joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles as well.

Dosing of around 1-10 mcg per kilogram of body weight seems to be a good place to start, however best to try and find the perfect dose for you.

Because of this potentially high dosing, you might want to buy a BPC 157 with a higher concentration.

BPC 157 Summary

BPC-157

BPC-157, or pentadecapeptide, is categorized as a body protection compound. It is composed of 15 amino acids in a very particular sequence that doesnโ€™t exist naturally.

It is artificially synthesized in laboratories using the partial sequence of the body-protecting compounds isolated from gastric juices. Hence, it is one of the derivatives of the peptide found in human gastric juices.

The therapeutic effects of BPC-157 are exerted through multiple courses of action. One of the most common ways that BPC-157 acts as a therapeutic agent is by carrying out angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood vessels.

It does this by activating a protein called the โ€œvascular endothelial growth factorโ€ which initiates the formation of new blood vessels. This ensues in the organization of a healthy vascular network which gives BPC-157 its key regenerative and healing properties.

Another mechanism of action of BPC-157 is blocking the inhibitory growth factor called 4-hydroxynonenal, which is a negative modulator of growth. This allows the peptide to carry out effective healing of wounds, especially surrounding tendons.

2) TB 500: Best Against Inflammation

TB 500 is another great peptide used for healing.

TB 500 (or Thymosin Beta 4) is found naturally in humans and animals, and veterinarians initially found a use for it in horses before doctors applied it to humans.

TB 500 increases actin, which can increase cell mobilization, and cell division, and even fight inflammation.

TB 500 can have quite a large dose, ranging from 5 – 20 mg per week, it might be better to buy a higher concentration vial like this one from Pure Rawz which will comfortably cover all your recovery needs.

TB500 Summary

TB-500

Thymosin beta-4 is a small peptide with G actin-sequestering action. It is associated with the induction of angiogenesis and accelerated wound healing (10).

TB-500 is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring peptide LKKTETQ. The peptide segment (17)LKKTETQ(23) is the active site within the protein thymosin ฮฒ(4) responsible for actin binding, cell migration and wound healing

Muscle fibers are made up of actin and myosin, which are contractile filaments. These filaments allow our muscles to contract and relax for mobility and carry out efficient metabolism and cell signaling.

TB-500 increases our bodyโ€™s response to actin by increased reception of the protein by the peptide segment (17)LKKTETQ(23). This upregulation promotes increased cell growth, healthy cell proliferation, healing effects, and cell migration, particularly keratinocytes and endothelial cells.

TB-500 promotes angiogenesis which is the formation of new blood vessels. It builds up new blood vessel pathways for efficient blood supply to the wounds for increased healing. It also augments beneficial inflammation at the site of injuries.

3) Collagen: Best for Skin and Joints

Collagen is one of the most popular peptides on the market for healing.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body, thus supplementing with it has been shown to increase joint, skin, and tendon recovery and lower pain in those areas as well.

Usually, Collagen is derived from mammalian sources which of course limits its use in people who do not include these animals in their diet, like pescatarians.

Rest easy, the good people at Bulk Supplements not only stock this Bovine Collagen but others as well, like fish-derived Collagen. Hah! Pescatarians rejoice!

4) Epithalon: Best New Peptide

A relatively new peptide on the market, Epitalon has been found to activate the bodyโ€™s regeneration properties, which can of course accelerate healing.

Furthermore, Epitalon induces the release of Telomerase. When Telomerase is activated within a cell, the cell will continue to grow and divide – greatly accelerating healing.

Epitalon Summary

Epitalon

Epitalon, also commonly known as Epithalon peptide or Epithalone is a synthetic tetrapeptide with four amino acids in its structure.

This synthetic peptide was originally discovered by Russian scientist Vladimir Khavinson. Since then most of the clinical studies centered around Epitalon were carried out at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology.

Epitalon is a synthetic telomerase activator enzyme that upregulates the synthesis of telomerase enzyme by the pineal gland. Thus, telomeres at the end of chromosomes are renewed and more telomeres are available at the tips of DNA strands even after a cell divides repeatedly.

Besides, Epitalon treatment also stimulates melatonin production as well as regulates its secretion. This helps restore normal circadian rhythm as melatonin secretion is a critical chemical that balances the sleep/wake cycle.

Some human clinical studies also suggest that this synthetic pineal peptide Epitalon also modulates the blood levels of gonadotropins.

5) ARA 290: Best for Pain and Nervous System

A common injury we see often is known as neuropathic, meaning an injury regarding your nervous system.

Also a very new peptide amongst lifters, some studies suggest this product gets into the central nervous system extremely quickly, extremely fast, and lowers inflammation at the pain point (at a particular nerve) rapidly.

ARA counteracts tissue damage through its effect on inflammation and its actions on IRR (insulin receptor-related receptor) by mimicking the effect of erythropoietin (3).

Pure Rawz stocks ARA 90, and as far as nerve injuries go this is one of the best products you can use for the job.

Side Effects

When considering the best peptides for healing, it’s crucial to weigh their potential benefits against any possible side effects.

Collagen, for instance, is generally well-tolerated with minimal side effects

Some users may experience heartburn or a feeling of fullness after consumption, which are relatively mild discomforts.

However, the situation is slightly different with BPC 157 and TB 500

BPC 157, known for its remarkable healing properties, may lead to side effects such as dizziness and headaches.

Similarly, TB 500 can cause dizziness and lightheadedness in some individuals. These side effects, while not severe, can be bothersome for those seeking to harness the healing power of these peptides.

On the other hand, Epitalon stands out as a peptide with no reported side effects

This makes it an attractive option for individuals looking to accelerate healing without the worry of adverse reactions.

In contrast, ARA 90, although potentially effective for pain and the nervous system, comes with its share of drawbacks, including the risk of blood clots, high blood pressure, and even diarrhea.

It’s essential to consider these potential side effects when choosing the best peptide for your healing needs and consult with a healthcare professional to ensure safety and effectiveness.

What are Peptides?

Peptides, or the best peptides for healing, are short chains of amino acids naturally present in foods, typically composed of 2 to 50 amino acids

Scientists have unlocked the potential of peptides by altering the sequence of these amino acids, leading to specific effects on the human body.

Among the vast array of peptides, two of the most common ones known for their significant impact when administered are collagen and creatine.

It’s essential to distinguish peptides from proteins, as peptides are shorter chains of amino acids.

Some peptides even require subcutaneous administration, which sets them apart from proteins.

Injecting whey protein, for example, can lead to catastrophic side effects, emphasizing the need for caution and proper knowledge when dealing with peptides.

Best Peptides for Healing

Peptide treatments have a long history, dating back to their use by medical professionals since the 1920s

Over time, they have gained popularity in the world of sports and recreational lifting for their potential to enhance performance, recovery, and healing.

The best peptides for healing have become sought after in these communities, offering individuals a new realm of possibilities for optimizing their well-being.

How do Peptides work?

The first thing you need to know before we open this pickle jar is that there are hundreds of peptides.

Some, like CJC 1295 can result in massive muscle gain, and something like Melanotan gives you a better tan.

The most popular peptide type used is going to be those that result in muscle gain.

Using a GHRH (growth hormone-releasing hormone) causes the release of growth hormone, which can cause muscle gain and fat loss.

Combining a GHRH with a GHRP (growth hormone-releasing peptide) can amplify this and increase the secretion of growth hormone.

This article is going to be about healing, so letโ€™s focus on how peptides can heal you.

Healing peptides such as BPC 157 work by increasing the production of certain enzymes, proteins, or just new tissue to aid in recovery.

Of course, a peptide like Melatonin will help because youโ€™ll sleep more, however, the big boys will help you a whole lot more than just getting a few more Zโ€™s.

Benefits of Healing Peptides

When exploring the world of the best peptides for healing, it’s essential to consider the specific benefits they offer.

While each peptide may have unique advantages, there are common themes that emerge when evaluating its potential in a generalized perspective.

Increased Muscular Recovery

One of the standout benefits of peptides like BPC-157 and TB-500 is their ability to enhance muscular recovery

Athletes and fitness enthusiasts often turn to these peptides to accelerate the healing of muscle injuries, reducing downtime and allowing for a more rapid return to training.

Joint Recovery

Peptides such as collagen play a vital role in promoting joint recovery

Collagen, the most abundant protein in the body, supports joint health and can aid in the rehabilitation of joint injuries.

This can be especially beneficial for individuals with joint discomfort or those recovering from joint-related issues.

Cellular Regeneration

Cellular regeneration is a fundamental aspect of healing, and several peptides contribute to this process.

BPC-157, for example, triggers the formation of new blood vessels, facilitating the regeneration of damaged tissues.

This mechanism can be instrumental in addressing various injuries, from ligaments to tendons.

Angiogenesis

Angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, is a key factor in the healing process.

Peptides like BPC-157 are known to stimulate angiogenesis, promoting better blood circulation to the affected areas, and ultimately expediting recovery.

The ability to improve blood flow and tissue oxygenation can significantly impact the healing of various injuries.

Skin Quality

Collagen, a peptide widely recognized for its benefits in skincare, contributes to improved skin quality

When considering the best peptides for healing, collagen can play a dual role, aiding both skin rejuvenation and the recovery of underlying tissues.

It’s a peptide appreciated not only for its internal healing properties but also for its external impact on the skin’s appearance.

Decreased Inflammation

Inflammation is a common hurdle in the healing process. Some peptides, like TB-500, are effective at combating inflammation.

By reducing inflammation at the site of an injury, these peptides can help alleviate discomfort and facilitate a more comfortable recovery process.

Improved Sleep

While the primary focus of peptides is often on physical healing, some, like Epitalon, have the additional benefit of promoting better sleep

Adequate rest is crucial for the body’s healing and recovery mechanisms, and peptides that enhance sleep quality can complement the overall healing process.

Something like Collagen is 100% legal to buy over the counter or online. Stores like Bulk Supplements sell powdered Collagen that can be a great and legal addition to your supplement stack.

Other peptides, the injectable ones, are a bit trickier. While you may find them on online sites, they can only be sold as experimental products, and not for human use.

Who should use Healing Peptides?

Healing peptides can be administered by doctors for various injuries, ranging from ligament to muscular.

Peptides are often used by bodybuilders, athletes, and recreational lifters to speed up the healing process of an injury.

If a certain peptide has a certain side effect that can be very detrimental to your health, maybe not use that particular one.

Can BPC 157 heal old injuries?

Possibly. Injuries remain the same years down the line, just with less inflammation and you learn to cope with it. The danger of being injured again still looms. BPC 157 creates new blood vessels regardless of where they are, so yes BPC 157 could heal an old injury.

Are peptides good for ligament healing?

The ones mentioned in this article are yes.

Is Growth Hormone a good healing peptide?

Potentially, but at what cost? No really, real GH is super hard to find and even harder to afford. It can potentially help in healing, but there is a reason researchers invented and use other peptides for healingโ€ฆ Because theyโ€™re more suited for the job at hand.

Does IGF 1 heal ligaments?

Surprisingly, yeah. Just donโ€™t get scared when you suddenly start looking like The Rock midway through your cycle. Baby oil is not included.

Conclusion – Best Peptides For Healing

Healing peptides are one of the better-growing niches in the fitness world and can get you out of a pickle when needed.

I would go for the injectables because Iโ€™ve used collagen myself, the effects were good but not magical.

Make sure you do your rehab, take it slow, and youโ€™ll be tearing it up in the gym in no time. You are badass.

Is there any evidence or studies that peptides could be useful for tendonitis? There are two main biceps tendons and the tendonitis (scarring from minor tears) can be painful on a flare-up. I wonder if peptides could relieve the pain associated with it or if there are studies to support this.
