Anastrozole Adex

An approved breast-cancer drug that lowers estrogen in the body, also used off-label by steroid users to control estrogen-related side effects. It's well proven at lowering estrogen, but pushing estrogen too low can hurt cholesterol levels, joints, and bone strength.

Also known as Arimidex, anastrazole, Anastrozol, ICI D1033, ICI-D1033, ZD 1033, 2Z07MYW1AZ

Reported dosing

User-reported

What has been reported in the literature and by users. This is a record of what is done, not a recommendation.

Typical dose 0.5-1 mg
Reported range 0.25 mg twice weekly to 1 mg daily depending on use case
Route Oral
Frequency Every other day to once daily
Duration Chronic (oncology) or cycle-length (off-label bodybuilding use)

FDA-approved for breast cancer at 1 mg/day (Arimidex); off-label bodybuilding dosing is typically lower and unsupervised, risking over-suppression of estrogen and negative effects on lipids and bone.

Where this comes from FDA prescribing information; off-label user-reported dosing

There is no approved human dosing for this compound. The figures above are what users and vendors report, not what has been established as safe or effective. Treat them as a record of what is done, not as guidance.
