The World Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation is international in scope, and is affiliated with powerlifting federations from 22 countires. The WDFPF seeks to offer a “drug-free alternative international platform – in order to provide fair competition world-wide for those powerlifters who wish to train and compete without performance-enhancing drugs.” The WDFPF began operations in 1988.

Drug testing
WDFPF drug tests all events.
Equipment
The WDFPF features both raw and equipped lifting.
Allowed equipment: in equipped lifting, polyester or denim single ply bench shirts are legal. Polyester Single ply lifting suits. Knee wraps may be as long as 2 meters.
Illegal equipment: Open backed and canvas bench press shirts. Canvas and denim lifting suits. Briefs.
Age Divisions
OPEN: 14 upwards (no category restrictions)
TEENAGE: 14-15, 16-17, 18-19
JUNIOR: 20 – 23
MASTERS: 40-44, 45-49 and so on in five year increments
POLICE/FIRE/MILITARY OPEN: 14+
