Place bench under a Smith Machine. Before loading on weight, make sure the bench is aligned in the middle and the bar is placed at the desired height. Lie on the bench with feet on the ground. With hands placed on the bar just outside of shoulder-width, unrack the bar making sure your shoulders are back and chest is up. In a controlled manner, lower the bar to your chest, pause, and press back up to the starting position and repeat.
