Prohormone Supplements Explained

Prohormone Supplements Explained. What are prohormones? Prohormones are anabolic precursors that, once properly processed in the body, act as anabolic steroids. Prohormones assist in packing on muscle mass, and increasing strength.

Unlike steroids, prohormone supplements are legal. Prohormones only come in tablet/pill form, making them generally liver toxic. Prohormones are also less potent then anabolic steroids. With that said, prohormone supplements are still better then any other bodybuilding supplement on the market. They are relatively inexpensive, with the cost of a cycle running $30-$40.

Prohormone supplements require PCT (post cycle therapy), and should not be used by inexperienced lifters, women, or anyone under the age of 21.

Types of Prohormone Supplements. The following is a listing of popular prohormone supplements.

H Drol. H Drol, also known as Halodrol or Halodrol-50, is slightly milder then the popular prohormones Pheraplex and Superdrol.  An H Drol cycle will result in modest muscle mass and strength gains. H Drol is also a popular prohormone supplement for cutting cycles.

Daily cycle dosages range from 25 to 75 mgs per day, or more, depending on side effects. H Drol’s chemical nomenclature is: 4-chloro-17a-methyl-1,4-diene-3,17 diol. H Drol is a prosteroid of Turinabol.

Epistane. Epistane, or Havoc, is one of the more reputable prohormone supplements. Epistane is mild on the liver, and cycles result in above average,  to very good mass and strength gains.

Daily cycle dosages run from 20 to 70 mgs per day. High dose Epistane cycles can result in a feeling of lethargy. Epistane’s chemical nomenclature is: 2a-3a-epithio-17a-methyl-5a-androstan-17b-ol.

Pheraplex. Pheraplex, also known as Phera, P Plex, or Phera Plex, is a liver toxic prohormone that is very good for bulking. Gains on Pheraplex are wet gains. Drink plenty of water while on a Pheraplex cycle.

Daily cycle dosages run from 10 to 30 mgs. Pheraplex’s chemical nomenclature is: 17a-Methyl-etioallocholan-2-ene-17b-ol.

Superdrol. Superdrol, also known as S Drol, Masterdrol or M Drol, is known as the most potent prohormone supplement. Side effects from Superdrol range from mild to very harsh. Gains on Superdrol are dry gains. Expect great muscle mass and strength gains. Superdrol can be used on a bulking or cutting cycle.

Daily cycle dosages run from 10 to 30 mgs. Superdrol’s chemical nomenclature is: 2a, 17a-dimethyl-17ß-hydroxy-5a-etiocholan -3-one. Superdrol is a methylated form of Drostanolone (Masteron).

M-1, 4ADD. M-1,4ADD is a liver toxic supplement that is great for bulking cycles. M-1,4ADD cycles result in slightly wet gains, and good strength gains.

Daily cycle dosages run from 30 to 90 mgs. M-1,4ADD’s chemical nomenclature is: 17a-methyl-1,4-Androstadiene-3,17diol. M-1,4ADD is a prohormone of Dianabol, but is said to act more like boldenone.

1,4 AD. 1,4 AD is a weak prohormone supplement that is often stacked with other prohormones. 1,4 AD cycles generally run longer then 4 weeks, as it takes several weeks for 1,4 AD’s benefits to kick in. Gains on 1,4 AD are slow, but steady. Side effects are very mild.

Daily cycle dosages run from 300 to 600 mgs. 1,4 AD’s chemical nomenclature is: 1,4-Androstadiene-3,17-dione. 1,4 AD is a prohormone of Boldenone.
