It isn’t OK in Oklahoma to be a competitive bodybuilder. Because of an ongoing investigation into steroid use by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Tulsa Police, 10 arrest warrants were issued on steroid related charges. The warrants primarily targeted competitive bodybuilders. U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency Marshals also assisted in this investigation and bust.

Among those arrested were NPC bodybuilders Trudy Ireland-Kline and Darrell Terrell, and pro IFBB bodybuilder Sherry Smith. Tulsa police are promising more busts. Agents also state that the case has taken them to the East Coast to pursue more leads, and federal charges are involved. The charges cannot currently be discussed, because the indictments are still sealed.
