Nature’s Best marketing strategy has been to build long lasting trade and consumer brand equity by marketing the highest quality Sports Nutrition products and pricing them so as to offer genuine consumer value. Nature’s Best began operations in 1984. Initially, distribution developed through gyms and health clubs. Our current product line fits into five (5) categories: tablets and capsules, powdered drink mixes, sports beverages and vitamin paks.
In January 1987, Nature’s Best had its first major breakthrough. Carbo Power was launched. Carbo Power is a 16oz high carbohydrate beverage designed to enhance the energy levels of all athletes. This drink was a smashing success. It was received well by weightlifters, bodybuilders, cyclists, runners, football players etc. University athletic programs such as UCLA, University of Alabama and many others began using Carbo Power with great enthusiasm. Professional teams like the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Knicks also began using Carbo Power regularly.
Since 1987 our Carbo Power business has expanded into Canada, Puerto Rico and throughout Europe.
Midway through 1988, Nature’s Best created its “Perfect” concept. The registered trademark of Perfect represents a group of products: tablets, bars, beverages and powdered drink mixes containing Perfect protein (egg whites). This marketing strategy began our second surge. Perfect enabled Nature’s Best to break into health food store distribution with a bang. General Nutrition Center (GNC) put this product line, along with Carbo Power, into all of its stores nationwide, along with several other major health food store distributors.
Nature’s Best products are now distributed worldwide. In 1993, a study conducted by GNC acknowledged Nature’s Best as the second most recognized sports nutrition brand in America.
Products are advertised monthly in Muscle & Fitness, Flex and Ironman.
Over the years, Nature’s Best has continued to grow through opening new markets. In July 1998, Nature’s Best revolutionized the meal replacement supplement industry with the introduction of Isopure. Isopure is the first meal replacement/after workout supplement to have 50 grams of only 100% Pure Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate. All of the impurities such as fat and lactose are removed to provide the athlete with the cleanest tasting, most refreshing product of its kind. Isopure is also available in a Zero Carb and Low Carb version. All formulations of Isopure are lactose free, which means less gastric disturbance with minimal bloating, a huge advantage to those who are lactose intolerant.
Continuing to expand on the Isopure franchise, a preservative free Isopure beverage was introduced in a glass bottle. Today, Isopure in glass bottles is available with and without carbs, depending on your needs.
