Coop,
Before you drop $50 on a tool for powerlifters, you might want to make sure you're using proper form to protect your shoulders:

Nice video. He didn't talk about breathing much or leg/foot position and leg drive, but overall pretty good IMO.
Getting a slingshot or RAM is more than just protecting your shoulders. It's about working and improving your lockout by overloading. I do agree, that you should use good form on all lifts, all the time. Unfortunately when we get to the last couple of reps on heavy days, that form my go to shit. That's when the RAM/slingshot will keep you safe.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread to get some advice. I've had a few minor shoulder problems over the last couple of months that have pretty much gone and have some elbow tendonitis in my right arm too.
I've had some good rest and the arm and shoulder is feeling good, but in the last month every time I get through a pressing session, it sets me right back. I'm avoiding presses this week and don't really want to jump back into heavy pressing sessions too soon and risk anything flaring up again. I was just wondering whether the slingshot would be a good way to build back to heavy presses in this situation?

I got one for Christmas and I have used it a couple of times. To me it's kinda like wearing a loose shirt sorta. Also it really overloads the triceps.
