Why Teens Won't Squat

Found this on why teens won't squat.

1) Mindset: They lack the drive to stick with something to the end. Making their training schedules sporadic if they train at all.
2) Attention span: Severely lacking, which is important since the squat requires attention to detail. This coupled with other young children in the room can lead to a weightroom full of monkeys swinging from machine to machine.
3) Coordination: May or may not be coordinated at this age
4) Kinesthetic sense: Goes along with coordination, but to me it also indicates a lack of experience with moving one's body in a particular pattern (IE keeping your entire body tight as squat/deadlift)
5) Immediate gratification: They want to be strong NOW, and as such they may do stupid things (IE lifting too much weight with poor form)
6) Ego: Clearly, the guy from Muscle fitness with the 20inch arms whose split routine would take 3 hours in the gym knows best. So, any routine I offer would pale in comparison.
7) Ego again: Curls are more important than the squats to these kids
8) Ego again: The idea of getting fat or losing abs during this age may deter some of them from eating properly.
9) Nutrition: These kids eat doritos and drink pepsi for lunch, and that's on a good day.
10) Priorities: At the end of the day, it's just not that important to them.

I agree!

Also another important one I think
- They simply dont know how or why they should squat, and we all know what a lot of "trainers" are like. They are probably just fed a lot of misinformation

I assure you that young adult males do not listen to trainers.

Unless they have a man-crush on them.

Also dont forget Teens dont want to build their legs cos either;

a) 'My legs are big enough already brah'
b) 'I run for cardio/play soccer/ride my bike, thats all the leg work I need'
c) 'I wear jeans man, no one see's my legs'
d) 'I dont wear shorts brah'
e) 'I just do chest 'n' gunz, cos they are the muscles that the girlz love dude'
