Rear Delt Movements
What do you guys do for your rear delts? Looking for some new stuff, just wondering what you guys enjoy?

i do high reps on rear delts. always. has made a huge difference in size and strength.
you know about my band work and all as well. |
I like reverse Db flies on a 22 1/2 deg. incline bench or reverse fly machine. You have to be carefully on rear delt work. Any little wrong angle and the side delts or the traps take over.

I have done a lot of reverse pecdeck. There was a time in the not so distant past that my rear delts were really underdeveloped and weak due to neglect and I used this movement to bring them up.
I have recently transitioned to cable face pulls using a rope. This seems very effective. I stick with the 15 rep range. Rear delt work is truly something that needs to have an emphasis put on control and form rather than weight being used, IMO. |

Fazc showed me Kelso shrugs today. These are awesome. I also like band pull aparts and face pulls. Rear pec deck is good but more for bodybuilding as it doesn't use any scapular retraction and I'm guessing that's what you want for your bench.

another suggestion...
bent over barbell rows with high elbows. will target rear delts, rhomboids, and some trap. |
