Sorry Steve. I'm behind on logging a couple workouts. Actually as of this evening I'll be behind 3 workouts. I'll try to catch up tonight.

Just because I'm lifting doesn't guarantee that I'm not doing pilates.:weirdee:

Default 5/18/12

Squat
5x130,165
3x195
5x215,245
280x5

Good Mornings
10x45,75,95,115,125

Leg Press/Calve Raise Superset
270x15/15, 15/11, 15/8

Weighted Situps (plate behind head)
bw+5x10,10,3/8 (last eight bw)

Overall Workout Grade: B+

Notes:
Sorry about the delay in updates. I've bumped up lifting to 4 days a week from 3 and I've been busy with the fam, so time is a bit scarce right now.

Back Squats felt good. Although I still like front squats better. I used my new inzer belt, it rocks.

Did good mornings for the first time ever. I felt a bit funny. I went beltless. I think the form may take a bit of work. It just felt awkward. And I didn't feel it in my hams as much as I expected. However I'll try them again.

Added calve raises to the leg press. I've added 1 additional assitance exercise to each workout, calve raise are what I've added to this workout.

Default 5/21/12

OHP
125x3, 110x3 140x6
(I screwed the pooch here a bit)

Incline Press
135x12,12,9, 125x8

Lat Pulldown
120x15,15,12,9

Lying Tricep extension
75x10,10,10

Rear Delt Raise 17.5x10,10,8
Lateral Raise 17.5x12x3

Overall Workout Grade: B+

Notes:
Kind of screwed up a bit on my OHP ramping sets. I read my log wrong (somehow) and started way to heavy. Oh well, it still went well.

Incline press is hard with high reps like this.

Really feel my lat pulldowns in my back. I'm enjoying light weight, high reps. .

Dropped a set from tricep extensions. 4 sets is just a bit excessive to me.

Added in rear delt raises and lateral raises for the sake of shoulder health. I intend to super set these 2 lifts.

Got through this session in under an hour. That is a huge plus to me.

No PRs here, but I still had to give this session an A. Usually I only reserve "A" grades for PR days.
Deadlift is still about 100lbs shy of where it was in December, but it feels very solid.

Walking lunges are a kick in the ass.

I added High rep shrugs for a little extra trap work and grip work.

I moved through this session. I got it done in about 45 minutes, and had a sweat "V" on my chest. I can't remember the time I worked out at such a strenuous pace. I feel very good about it.

Right now I'm really really liking 5/3/1. I'm feeling very good about it.

Great job, Josh! Fam comes first, no worries. Nice reps on that too heavy OHP.

It is more about how you feel after your workout ... and you feel great. PR will follow in no time ...

Who doesn't like 531??

Overall a great week. It seems we all lift better when busy.

How about some Yoga!!

531 will have you back to 405 deadlift before you know it.
