Overdid it yesterday. Lower back is real tight. I think I need 3-4 weeks of moderate deads.

Now when I do weighted abs 2-3x a week it seems to benefit me the most in the deadlift. A little bit to keep up core strength appears to go a long way. When I slack on these for a few weeks, I lose a ton of abs endurance and power. That can't be a good thing. I have built to 3x a week with 25 rep sets, and if I lay off for 3-4 weeks I can notice a huge drop off in strength. My abs seem to lose it very quickly.

I think so. I've tossed out my back previously, perhaps 4 years ago, and it healed rapidly as long as I wasn't pulling 80%+.

4/30/2012 309.0 pounds (-9.6) Didn't count calories but rather ate sensible, satisfying portions at night. Spent the weekend cooking some amazing meals, enjoyed all of them, and lost 3 pounds. Wasn't hungry all weekend and had no cravings.
