Closed out week 5 tonite, time to turn the crank again. Tried Jack3d for the second time tonite. Doubled up the dose. I was feeling a tingly sensation on my face before I even finished. Thought it was my imagination. Then it began spreading over my shoulders and arms. Began to dissipate as I started lifting. Workout was good and strong, EZ compared to the last two.

Need to get a fan for the garage, sweating rivers still!

That's beta alanine. It's pretty common. Not sure why it hits only the face.

Yep, gaspers04 mentioned he homebrews his own pre, so that got me looking into things. Found out the beta alanine was the source of that. I didn't find it to be that unpleasant. Just unexpected. It's sort of like the flush niacin gives you.

Had another excellent workout last night. I feel my strength beginning to come up.

I did a lot of lifting in my younger days, if I knew then what I know now things would have been much different, but that's life as they say.

Early on I injured my left shoulder, but I was young and dumb and kept pushing harder. All I ever heard in those days was 'No Pain No Gain' so I thought that was just part of it. After a time I just had to stop altogether and it took a number of years before I was relativley pain free.

In the last few years I have attempted to return to lifting and the program was quickly derailed with shoulder pain. Last summer I got a kayak and began paddling the rivers around where I live. I enjoy very much, it is a fantastic upper body workout.

As I began to notice some changes in my shoulders, delts especially, the desire to lift again resurfaced. The work on the entire shoulder girdle seems to strengthened all the little muscles in such a way that pushups were much easier to do.

So here I am lifting again and I am as of yet pain free. I am already benching more than I was on my previous attempts and approaching a PR on my military press!

Now just as DMAA has been yanked off the market I have discovered Jack3d. I used it according to instruction the first time and was not impressed. I doubled the dose the next workout and wow! I felt stronger than ever. Placebo effect? I dunno but if it is I want to stock up on placebo!

Well, thanks for reading and have a great day.

Glad to hear about the shoulder. Without a Slingshot I couldn't bench heavy anymore. I do too much "pain training" in my youth.

Regarding Jack3d...I use a similar product and mine is legit. I feel super focus and have extra energy.

Muscle Marinade. The focus is amazing for me. It lasts for 4 hours and I feel very relaxed later at night in a good way.

Good work IronWill. As for your shoulder, I experienced some shoulders issues in the last year or so I was advised by a member here at MaB to make sure and strengthen the lateral and posterior delts. I didn't realize it, but my posterior delts in particular were extremely weak.
Also, when my shoulder was really giving my problems I focused on doing rotator cuff strengthening exercises. It seemed to work wonders.

As far as preworkouts, have you tried muscle pharm assault. I'm kind of picky about what preworkouts i'll use, but MP assault worked well for me. Good, clean, sustained energy and endurance.
