Bench press 5x5 warm up 175x8 - pause reps 215x5 215x4 - bad set up 215x5 215x4 - bad set up again, dammit 215x5 Close grip bench 185x6 185x6 185x6 - last rep was a GRIND, but got it. Will go after the 215 again next week, should get all 5x5 next week. Getting stronger! |

NICE squats! That last one was good, I could tell from here.
![]() Great bench too. You'll get it next time for sure. Do you have a mental checklist for setup? That helped me make it a habit which is more consistent. I still eff it up from time to time, but it helped lessen that a lot. Great progress.

At least you're catching the bad set up. Bench frustrates me beyond belief.

Push press warm up 135x8 155x5 155x5 155x5 155x5 155x5 - PR by default for sets of 5 with this weight as I'm establishing a baseline for my 5x5, will go to 165 next week Power shrugs - tried to do the Captain K shrug thing but i'd have to see a video to do it right 225x10 225x12 225x15 225x15 Been a couple or few weeks since I've done push press. Felt good to do them again. Can't wait for all the holiday hoopla to settle down so I can get back to my normal routine. Between dinners and shopping and get togethers, fun but jeesh. Enough already |

Squats warm up 225x5 255x5 - can't find my groove today, not concentrating or something, coming forward on toes etc, 255x5 - still not feeling crisp, actually not feeling good at all, not worth doing crappy reps and risking something 225x5 225x5 power shrugs - try and pull to belly 275x13 275x12 275x10 Was an off day on the squats for me, I should know by now that I can't kill the PR's every week on the squats. The form just wasn't happening tonight, so I just dropped the weight and focused on reps and form. |
