Deadlift - no belt
warm up
225x8
285x5
315x3
365x2
425x1 - PR
465x0 - didn't even come off floor, LOL
405x2 - double PR

Push press
Warm up
115x8
135x5
185x1
185x0 - Pops was in a hurry so I attempted this second single just 30-40 seconds after the first.

Great session. Went to my old mans gym to lift with him. He's 57 years old and 275. He pulled 465 for 5 reps today. Hes still strong as an ox.

Squat - no belt no wraps
135x10
185x8
225x5
275x3
325x2 - PR, my best double
325x1 - Thought I might be able to get a second double, but just the first was tough

Heavy walkouts and half squats
375x3

Great squat day. I buried all of my reps especially the 325's and my confidence is soaring now coming out of the hole. I feel that making the decision to swallow my pride, lower the weight and lose the belt and wraps, basically start over, is finally paying off. As a beginner/intermediate you have to have those 'core' muscles that the belt and wraps actually support get nice and strong before adding the equipment. I feel those muscles are the strongest they've ever been. I'm very excited to see my squat progressing.

I love the volume that you're doing. I don't do 5-3-1 but I incorporate a lot of volume into my meet training cycles and it gets rough sometimes , keep up the good work!

12/7/2012
Bench
warm up
185x8
205x5
225x3
245x2 - had to get a nudge on second rep, almost there!
205x5
205x5
205x5

Bench is feeling real good but not advancing as near as fast as I'd like it. Form is staying solid even with the heavy reps but barely just now getting a double with 245? I've been at 245 for singles for almost 2 months, I think.

Cut short on time. Have to go get ready for work Christmas party. All you can eat Prime Rib = WIN...

Eat some for me.

Bench is such a hard lift for most. Just keep after that extra rep at a time. Progress could slow down to 25 pounds of progress a year so don't get discouraged.

squats - no belt no wraps
Warm up
225x8
275x5
275x5
275x5 - new PR for sets of 5 with 275

Heavy walk outs and hold for 30 seconds.
390 x 2 sets

Squats and form continue to feel solid. Decided to throw a little bit of high rep, LOL, sets in today. Need to build strength AND muscle, so sets of 5 should be a good thing.
