Over the ear infection now.
7/18/2012 Deadlift 225x5 275x3 295x3 330x7 Shrugs 295x4 295x3 Stopped double overhand grip and went to deadlift grip. 295x12 295x12 Deadlifts felt very good, almost too good. I'm glad they are feeling right again as they had been really hammering my lower back. Feel much better lately. Shrugs were interesting. Able to keep a hold of the weight for all reps with the traditional deadlift grip. Shouldn't be any ill effects doing shrugs with that grip, no? |

Great deadlifting Elijah and killer shrugs, interesting grip though for shrugs not sure about it though have heard of people tearing biceps that way.

Good to know about the possibility of injury. Definitely want to do everything I can to avoid that. Will have to break down and get straps. Been to lazy to buy them. Do you guys like the ones that wrap around wrist and multiple times around bar? Or the other style I've seen where it looks like 1 continual piece of material that looks to just go over the hand bones?

Back from vacation. We were in Virginia Beach for 7 days. Warm water, big waves, what a blast. I need to move to the ocean.
7/26/2012 Standing overhead press 95x5 115x3 125x3 135x7 - tied PR(reps) - awesome to be repping the plates on this lift! back off sets of press 135x5 135x5 135x5 135x5 Close grip bench press 195x5 195x5 195x5 195x5 - PR weight and reps. last time I did them was at 155 for 3 sets of 10-8. I like going heavier on this lift. Felt strong today, especially for having been on a plane most of the day. First day back from vacation so felt fresh, except for the dang sunburn.
