Used a closer grip today to experiment. Don't know if I like it much.

Working around 85-87%; they were pretty fast. I was psyched-up and ready to wrestle a cougar afterward, so I just starting throwing shit together:

Barbell Curl:
100x3x5


Weighted Dips:
+35x4
+50x3x4
+60x3x4


Felt stronger after training than going in.

I'll have to experiment a bit, but so far it seems like I actually have more energy when I just wake up and get after it.

I've found after some trial-and-error that I make good progress on my deadlift when I'm not maxing out too often and instead work between 85-90%.


I forgot to put this into my post: my gym just got in another power rack today. Literally. I was working in that place at 7am and it was not there.

Not that anyone at my gym uses them for anything other than curling or pull-up stations...but I sure as heck will.

Solid freakin' weights. I've learned a lot from your log and I think I need to take that approach with my deadlifting as well. Keep upbthe great work, man. Big numbers being moved.
