Day 1: The awakening
I had my first session tonight, and it was eye-opening to say the least! I considered myself moderately fit, but I knew I was mistaken after the first 2 sets! ...and yes these weights are LBS... :)
Clean 75 x 3 75 x 3 75 x 3 No 4th set No 5th set Power Clean 75 x 6 75 x 6 No 3rd set Push Jerk 75 x 3 75 x 3 55 x 3 45 x 3 45 x 3 Behind-the-neck Press Snatch grip 45 x 12 45 x 12 45 x 12 Vertical Jump (Jump rope between sets) 3 sets of 6 Chins BW x 5 Bodyweight was 209 tonight. As the title of the post implies, this session was revealing and exciting. I was exhausted very early and didn't do the final sets of the first two exercises. The foreseeable future will be devoted to honing my technique and VERY slowly increasing weight until technique breaks down, then i'll use that weight until i'm confident in my form, etc. As of right now, the only bit I'm confident in is wanting to do it. :) I'm looking forward to this training; it is going to be very interesting! PS Please, if anyone has questions or suggestions, lay them on me. |

Awesome work mate, looking forward to seeing your progress. Make sure you take lots of video so we (well, not me, but people that know what they're talking about) can check out your form progressing.
