ME Squat Day
Today I squatted with 4 chains, I worked up to a HEAVY PR of 174kg, that is a nice squat for me. I have some arm pain that has come out of nowhere and it was really bothering me for backoffs. I still got alot of speed work in though. I finished with hypers and abs for assistence.Good day! Bench/Squat Day 15/9/12
Floor Press 1x2 92.5kg 1x1 100kg 1x1 107.5kg 1x1 112.5kg 1x1 118.5kg (PR) 5x5,4,5,4,4 97.5kg 2x15,10 70kg EZ Extensions 1x10 28kg 1x10 38kg 1x8 45kg 1x5 53kg Arms were hurting so I stopped SSB Squat + Mini & 4 Chains 1x2 95kg 1x1 110kg 1x1 122.5kg 1x1 137.5kg 1x1 143.5kg (PR) 4x3 110kg 1x3 115kg 2x3 120kg 1x3 125kg 1x3 127.5kg 1x3 130kg 1x3 132.5kg 1x2 135kg Smokin, squats were feeling great, arms were feeling it though, this sucks, I don’t need this now!! my squat is feeling stronger than ever!! ME Squat Day Arms still hurting so I thought I would take it easy today. I used the SSB with an orange band and worked on up to a PR of 145kg. This was heavy but I got it. I then dropped for some RE work working slowly up in sets of 8 to a very hard set of 5. I finished with GHRs and was going to do some serious repping on Bulgarian split squats but for some reason my RH side hip/glute just hates these. Arms were starting to growl at me too so I figured don’t push it and cxall it a day. So I cooked a BBQ and ate about the same volume of meat as my squat workout !! ME Squat Day
Strong night tonight, I did paused squats in my comp stance for a 3 count. These were very tough, I managed to hit 160kg (352lbs) for a top single. I then dropped down and repped out to a heavy double. I had planned to go full blown crazy with backoffs tonight but dammit those long pauses just drain me so much, still got a bit of work done so no complaints!. I also squatted with a slightly wider grip than usual, it took a lot of pressure away from the arms and I actually felt stronger with it. I finished by pulling ultra wide sumos for a heavy 6 repper. Solid night of lifting for sure. ME Squat Day 17/9/12 Paused Squat (3 Count) 1x2 110kg 1x2 125kg 1x1 135kg 1x1 145kg 1x1 155kg 1x1 160kg 1x6 115kg 1x6 120kg 1x6 125kg 1x5 130kg 1x3 135kg 1x2 140kg Ultra Wide Sumos (feet to plates) 1x6 140kg 1x6 160kg 1x6 165kg Not max pulls but not easy either, that wide is a very hard stance to pull heavy from. |
