ME Squat Day
Squatted with an orange band today, worked up to a nice PR of 149kg of bar weight.Good solid lift too, happy with that. I then hit backoffs for doubles and then 5s. I finished by hitting some GMs with the bands on the bar, Doesnt look like heaps but pretty gassed by the end of all that. ME Squat Day
I destroyed a PR with the SSB today, was heavy but I got a great session in. I worked up to 151kg, then did backoffs for triples which were hard as I am tired, all week I have squatted maxes and done at least 25+ reps total too so my volume is back up higher again, I am feeling gassed but once warmed up my squat feels very strong. I then did a bunch of dumbell swings to finish.Good day, the SSB squat is getting better fo sho! ME Squat Day 14/4/12 SSB Squat 1x2 110kg 1x1 120kg 1x1 130kg 1x1 140kg 1x1 151kg (PR) 5x3 120kg 30 secs rest 1x3 125kg 1x3 130kg 1x10 102.5kg (Smoked wanted 20! Was not happening) DB Swings 3x 18,15,15 45kg Fark yeah, good workout |

ME Bench/Squat Day
I inclined pressed for the 1st time in a long time today, top set of 87.5kg, really tough at the top due to my womanly shoulder strength! I then pressed 3 sets for reps near failure and then light dumbells for high reps on floor press. I finished with band pushdowns and a new squat variant.Squats with a miniband and 4 chains, i like this as it does not give the large overspeed eccentrics that heavier bands give, it acted more like additional chains.Good stuff, anyways I got to a max (or near enough) and had to shoot out the door was very tired too so a low volume squat day wont hurt. ME Bench/Squat Day 15/4/12 CG Incline Bench 1x2 70kg 1x1 80kg 1xM 90kg (too big a jump for this exercise) 1x1 70kg 1x1 82.5kg 1x1 85kg 1x1 87.5kg 1x12 60kg 2x8 65kg HG DB Floor Press 4x18,16,15,14 25kg ea Orange Band PD 3x18,15,14 Squat + Yellow Band & 4 Chains 1x1 125kg 1x1 135kg 1x1 140kg 1x1 145kg Out Da door! |
