Overtraining, a Beard and an 800 Deadlift
8 weeks until my meet. Need to focus. Work is kicking my butt and my head is in a dark place. Going to be running a solo log for a while, at least until I get it into gear.
Workout Plan (currently): --Squats & Deads --Bench & Rows --Squats & Deads --OHP & Cleans --Squats & Deads --OHP & Rows Still ironing out the addition of volume with Fazc. Stay tuned. |

Workout Time: 65 minutes Workout Grade: B- Was planning on doing more squat singles but my left quad hinted after that the tweak I had last week was not 100%. I will play things day by day until it cooperates. It's nothing major. Just playing things safe. Performed RDLs for the first time in over 18 months and hit a PR. Form is much improved thanks to Rippetoe. Reps were strict and quality.. Bar was perhaps 4 inches below the knee. Added some ab work back in. I need it. A little goes a long way. Been slacking on it the last 2 months. Also did some leg extensions just to get some blood into the quads. Conditioning stinks right now. This workout was challenging in a good way. Squats 145 x 5 235 x 3 325 x 1 415 x 1 465 x 1 515 x 1 465 x 1 - Left quad very minor tweak Romanian Deadlift 135 x 3 225 x 1 315 x 1 405 x 1 500 x 5 singles - PR Weighted Sit Ups 45 x 12 45 x 10 Plate Side Bends 45 x 10 45 x 10 Leg Extensions 95 x 10 95 x 10 95 x 10 |

Even with a tweak some very strong squating, and great job on the RDL PR!

Good Session! Get some big man. Congratulations on the RDL PR. Like you Rippetoe's video helped me out and like you I didn't do them for a while and then nailed a PR. I think the carry over between RDLs and deads are huge.
