Today was also light Oly work day Clean + clean pulls 60kgx2 60kgx2 60kgx2 60kgx2 60kgx2 Felt good, 2 of the cleans werent fast enough. Keeping weight the same for next week. Jerks from rack 60kgx2 60kgx2 60kgx2 Felt good and fast, getting quicker under the bar. Going for 65kg next week on these.

Fridays Workout Squats 155x5 (worked up to a top set of 5 reps) Bench 75kg + bands for top set of 5. Around 105kg at the top. I am not a very good bencher, I find I need more speed and commitment to the press, and the bands should help. I chose working in the 85% of max, though I made a mistake on the band tensions I think, so it was more like 75-80%. But next week will be heavier. I dont know a lot about band training, but I thought I would start playing around. Any advice is appreciated! Chest Supported Rows 27.5kgx3x10 Face Pulls 10x3x10 Felt good! Saturdays Workout Hang Power Snatch 40kgx3 45kgx3 50kgx3 At this point my shoulder (sort of rotator area) and elbow were on fire, felt like nerve pain or something, I kept going. Hang Snatch 50kgx3 55kgx3 Lots of pain, moved on and didnt do last set Hang Clean 60kgx1 There was a lot of pain and I was having trouble moving my hand so I called it. One of the guys who trains there is a physio who works at NSWIS with some oly athletes. He had a look, found a little issue with my sub scap, he did a quick test to confirm his suspicion. He found a pinched nerve (i think this is what it was, he was poking me and it hurt a lot so I dont remember much) and it was going right up my shoulder, through my arm and into my wrist. He did a couple of minutes of manipulation and suddenly the pain vanished and I could move my arm. He gave me a couple of exercises and a couple of stretches to help. He said keep training. Been 3 hours and there is no pain. He is amazing!! Saturdays workout was average because of the slight tweak. But all good now!
