That is some fine Oly Lifting Pull!!

I am fortunate to lift in my basement. The house has central A/C, and our climate is very dry anyway. (we are in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies)

Thanks Kuyt. All is well to some extent. Haven't been around because I really just have not had the time. Have been averaging 50-55 hours a week at work... and then way to much time with the commute. Once I settle in at the office, will probably start looking for a place to live much closer to work.

Training as been shoddy at best. 2 big setbacks in the form of injuries. Hyper-extended which put a halt to any pressing or overhead work. I though "OK, I'll push cleans and squats." He he he. Next day I strained, maybe even tore my right "quadratus lumborum," that those thick juicy muscles on both sides of your lower back. The pop it made was louder than my feet slamming against the platform. Pain was so intense at times, picking up a sock off the floor might as well have been a max-deadlift.

So... Past few weeks lifting has been sparse. Mostly empty bar work and A LOT of stretching and mobility work. I feel myself getting fatter although I've had no issue, unintenntionally dropping down to 168 (from 173-175).

Past 2-3 days the lower back has felt as though nothing has happened. If all stays the same from now until 5am tomorrow morning, I expect to get back to the lifting. And will be putting a some effort into getting my log back up and running.

Game plan will be the same, but a quick run down...

AM: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - Back squat heavy single/1RM + 3-5 doubles.

PM: Monday through Friday - 1 Santch/S. Variation, 1 C&J/CJ Variation, 1 Upper body pull. Front squats on tuesday and thursday.

Back squatting... its what I've been doing. For the front squats, either up to a 3RM or 3x3 sets across.

For the full lifts (snatch, c&j) work up to 8 - 10 singles that are within 20-25lbs of my best lift. As I get strong and more efficient, I'll go with 10-15%. If its a snatch or clean variation (IE: 2 snatch pulls + 1 snatch w/pause at knee), I'll work up to 5 heavy singles.

Jerk variations go for slightly higher volume, 5x2 if say its a rack jerk or 5x3 if a push press.

I'll also alternate full lifts with variations:
-Day 1 - Snatch, Clean Variation, Jerk Variation
-Day 2 - Snatch Variation, Clean & Jerk

There it is... Lets hope I don't break my back getting out of bed tomorrow!
