Squats + Oly Lifts FTW I noticed at my Oly course all the guys (and 1 gal) were doing front squats. One of them even did them with no hands.

My commute went from 12 mins to 22 mins when we moved in March, and I was mad about it. No longer mad about it after seeing the hell you go thru.

Still breathing. Works been hectic to say the least!

Squatting 5 mornings a week - work up a heavy but quick max and dropping 40lbs for doubles. Have been hitting between 445 and 460 on the maxes. Takes about 30 minutes including warm up.

In the PM I've been following a slightly modified version of the template outlined by Glenn Pendlay.

A Training System for Beginning Olympic Weightlifters

No back squatting in the PM, but have thrown in a few sets of lighter front squat triples here and there. Been feeling pretty good and lifts are looking decent. Recent heat wave is pretty bad and the humidity is horrible... down side of lifting in a garage. Pushed to hard yesterday and blacked out with a 265 jerk overhead. Really lucky. Probably heat/dehydration despite more than a half gallon of water I drank during that session.

Skipped training today because its even hotter and the humility, worse.

Great work pull, blackout sounds pretty scary. Also that is one of the only real down sides to lifting in my garage, sweating before the end of warmups is never fun!
