Crap! You gotta tell me when you pack up and move somewhere else. Luckily I found your new journal. Can't wait to see what the reduction in frequency is going to do for you. More recovery will hopefully bring some good gains. Good luck.

Solid work! I'll be interested in seeing where this routine takes you.

OR... yeah it was a little spontaneous.

Thanks for following me here OR, T-bone.

2 - 9 - 12 / I Need Bar Day

Clean & Push Press - 1x210, 1x220

Well it would appear my bar could not withstand the reductions in training frequency. After the 220 c/pp, I was setting the bar down and let it drop the last 3 inches of the way to the deck. Bolt on one side snapped. No more heavy lifts. $80 bar... 6 years of abuse, I'm slightly impressed.

Finished with some random DB stuff and a lot of stretching and mobility work.

I'm now regretting, just a little bit, dropping $150 on a new oly shoes. Will hopefully find a replacement bolt tomorrow and start looking at new bars...

I know how that feels, $50 bar fell apart on me during deadlifts last Aug. It was luck though that a guy I knew was selling an old texas power bar for $100 and it is the best bar I have ever used.

Anyway still a great Press!

Thanks guys.

This maybe a good excuse to get an oly bar and start collecting bumpers. Also picked up some ply for a platform last week, just haven't gotten around to building it.

I think it out-performed my 1200 pound rated bar. After 3 years my bar is already going to pot.

Get some pics of that platform when you get around to building it. Want to see how you design the floor to withstand a beating.

You look a lot bigger in your videos!!! Crushing numbers and I love the way you're hard on yourself after lifts. Just the kind of attitude I can relate to

It's a ballache isn't it, one of the (very few) reasons I dislike training at home. At least at a commercial gym I can go bust up someone else's bars!
