Total change of pace. Lift twice a week, run 3 times a week. I am recommissioning in the reserves and have to get back in running shape. You will like Saturdays workout better.

I hear ya... hammer down! I cant run worth 2 cents... lol.
I did a 7 min mile a couple years back while doing crossfit, and a 29 min 5k... definately not impressive, but it was a huge improvement from where i was before i started crossfit... i wonder what my mile time would be right now? Lol. What marks do you have to hit for pt and such? |

Depends on if I go back in the Marines or choose the Army. I may go Army due to opportunities in my area. I can definitely pass the PFT but I am in no shape to lead soldiers or Marines.
I was a regular 18:00-19:00 3 mile runner when I was active duty. Its just not really running for 5 years has taken its toll. (Plus gaining 60 pounds and taking up powerlifting!) I want to get to where I can run 2 miles in around 15:00 minutes. Thats doable with a couple of months work. Its going to suck though! Last edited by miked96; 02-15-2012 at 12:40 PM. |
