I am definitely sticking around!
I try to pause all my reps. I used to train with a crew of guys a couple of years ago and they made me pause everything. There reasoning was if you have to do it in a meet then it makes sense to train it. Now I will admit, the pause does turn into a hesitation sometimes but I rarely deliberately do touch and go reps. |

Thanks. After my deload is done I am going to give them a go. The pause caught up with me at my first meet. It was a bit longer than I expect.

You made that 365 look really easy, and a 95 pound jump on squats is impressive in itself let alone a 500 pound squat!

Squats
505 545 560 Bench 365 390 (got called for uneven extension, weight was a joke) 395 (played it safe, 415 was there, oh well thats part of competing!) Dead 525 575 passed on third Totaled 1530 which beat my old total 1520 without wraps and 25 pounds lighter. I also got to talk to Donnie Thompson which was cool.
