17/5

Notes: I have been sitting down ALOT the last days, and not lifted or exercises at all so todays training felt like a long warmup session. Strength, speed or timin was not there and I was very stiff achy. Still got some good reps in, powercleans were solid but could not get the bar from clean rack into a comfortable press - pressed from mid chest (!). Tried to frontsquat after the back squats but it was just misserable due to inflexibility today. Did some stretching and quad isolation work together with adductors and abductors and called it a day. Tomorrow will be better!

Life is real hectic now. 4 small kids that needs attention together with a fulltime job climbing the career ladder and trying to get big, strong and awesome while. Leaving no or little time for a social life outside family and work. Iam enjoying it but it would be nice to have 36h days =)

One of the guys I train with won Gold at Nordic Wrestling championchip last weekend and are now a Nordic champ in the 120kg class. Great to se his sucess!!

Here goes todays lifting..

Cable crunch
20x40kg
15x50kg
10x55kg
5x60kg

Powersnatch
3x1x60kg
1x70kg
1x75kg
1x80kg
0x85kg

2x2x72.5kg -pr for dub's

Powerclean and Push Press
1x80kg
1x90kg
1x100kg
0x107.5kg - tried to press it twice. Bummer.
2x1x100kg

*Really bad push presses today. Could not drive my head through so the bar got forward over the chest. Adding more BHN's to get back to flexibility.

Squat, ATG, Paused
2x100kg
2x120kg
2x130kg
2x135kg

Frontsquats
2x80kg
2x100kg - called it a day

Hack Squats, ATG
8x40kg
8x80kg
8x100kg
8x120kg -pr
On toes - 8x40kg

Adductor / Abductor
3x15 / 3x15

That's Awesome.

Regarding powerlifting and workouts, hope you get that worked out. Every think about going more free form and working up to a daily max based on how you feel? Perhaps cutting back on some assistance work so you can fit everything in easier?

Just tossing ideas your way.

I tought about that actually, Ive been working up to a max single on squat/clean/snatch and bench for a while now and then filled in with doubles or tripples afterwards dependent on how I feel. It works very well for the olympic lifts, but for the squat/bench I just think I need a lil more volume, like working in the 5 rep range.
