Default Grixxly the Bear

As of January 2012

Age: 19
Height: 6'0
Weight: 220


A little about myself: I started lifting sophomore year in highschool. I used to only bench and shoulder press. Senior year I learn about powerlifting and then added ohp, squats, and deads to my workouts. I first ran a upper/lower/upper routine followed by 5/3/1 (those two worked the best for me) then I stopped lifting because of football started lifting again only to waste my time routine hopping weekly and battling depression. Depression sucks big time...

My greatest weakness is the deadlift. I am a very strong bencher and my favorite lift is the squat.

Welcome aboard Grixx. We are opposites...I love the deadlift but battle the bench.

Good luck smashing some personal records.

I fought depression as a teen. Had a pretty hard time growing up. Hang in there and thrive.

Squat:

225 x 3
275 x 2
315 x 1

Really bad day. I was expecting 350 for a triple. I don't know what went wrong. I was feeling so good! It was my first day of classes for the spring semester and I was having a very good day. I looked good and felt even better. Went in the gym expected 350 x 3 and ended up almost getting folded by 315. Went home a little early today out of fustration.

Happens to all of us. I had a bench session like that last week. You'll get it.

Nope no longer playing football. I would of had the community college I'm going to offered it as a sport. We used to but it just cost the school to much money.

And thanks for the support on my bad day Today was pretty solid bench day so that makes up for it 8)

My ex girlfriend still continues to attempt to destroy every little bit of dignity and pride i have in myself even after 8 months of being broken up. She needs to get a new hobby, she can't hurt me any more. I won't let her effect my training and eating habits.
