Felt a little bit better today, did some easy sprints, none of them were really all out but got some decent conditioning. Sled-Prowler Sprints Imitation -used handles and made it more of a push *all about 30-40 yards Sled plus 45 x 10 sprints Sprints 5 x about 40 yards I have a lot of tightness all over my body right now. But I felt much better today, than yesterday. Better energy today. Did some good old fashioned stretching after my session today. Felt good. Hoping I have a good deadlift session tomorrow.

Thursday Deadlifts
Pretty happy with today, I missed 550 but it was only because my fingers got caught on my shorts. They told me to count it at the gym. Time for a new approach with deadlift, I am now going to think of it as a lift to make me stronger. More of a main assistance lift, since I am more focused on strongman, overall strength needs to be more of a focus. Speed Squats plus average band 145x6x2 Sumo Deads 135x2x5 225x3 315 x 2 singles 405 x 1 455 x 1 495x1 Flew up! 550x 0, this was just barely missed. My left side was locked out, right hand just got caught. I completely tore the calus off the middle of my hand. Could not do much after that, because it would not stop bleeding. Good Mornings 135x5 185x3 225x3x3 135x10 These also need to be a focus for me, they hit muscles in my lower back that never get hit. I can really feel them. Pretty happy with this cycle, just 12 weeks ago I missed 465 with sumo. A lot of that was just being rusty, but still I consider this a success. Next week I will switch my squat day to Wednesday and do rack pulls. Saturdays will be my sumo day. Going to train these like my squats, work up to a heavy single then back offs. Should be fun, I just do not enjoy maxing deads that much. I will stick to 3s and 5s. Looking to do a serious strongman workout sunday!!

Yes, by far. My best sumo was 2 weeks ago when I did 525 for 2. This would be a lot better. Need to work on my set up, my hips fly up with big weights, making the top end harder than it should be.

Friday Solid OHP
Got a little greedy today, on the ohp, but was still able to drop back and hit a good PR Standing OHP, cleaned into place 95x2x5 135x2x3 185x2 215x1, went for 2 but failed 205x2 PR 205x2, this set was a little easier Called it there, it a solid number. 215 is only 5 pounds off my PR, but I got a little excited adn went for it. I think 205x2 is a 10 pound PR. BB Curls bar x 20 65x15 85x12 90x2x10 65x17 Dips BW x 20 mini band x 15 light band x 12 average band x 8 heavy band x 6-these were crazy difficult! bw x 16-died Felt pretty good today. this torn callus on my hand is killing me. It hurt a lot to clean the weight. Going to do farmers on Sunday, so I hope it feels a little better. My ohp seems to be going along quite well. Hopefully I can continue this trend!! Starting next week, I am switching my bench day to monday and squat day to wednesday. Time to start the next experiment.
