Thanks steve, that was it. I did what I had to do and then called it quits. I feel a little better today, gonna see how farmers go! Thanks LTL, I really have no idea. Probably will not be until fall, summer just gets to crazy to focus on a competition.

Sunday Strongman
Time for a serious deload!! Woke up today and my body just hurt all over. Traps and shoulders were sore, low back, legs, you name it, it was sore. So, I decided I would push for a good strongman workout and then I would take a serious deload. So here is what I did: Farmers Walk **everything done for about 25 yards** 160 each hand x 2 sets, fast! 210 each hand x 2 sets 250 each x 1 set 300 x Miss, could not get the pick, low back wanted no part of this 250x1 set 160x1 set Overall pretty happy with this, should have moved up a little less after 250. The pick was not pretty, but I went for it anyway. Conditioning, putting all of my plates back into the basement, up and down steps with plates, haha. Log Clean and Press every rep was cleaned and pressed 105x5 145 x 3 x 5 Need to work on reps for this, I am strong on singles, but run out of gas fast. I am going to slowly move up, 10-20 pounds each week and continue to hit sets of 5. That is it. Going to have a shake here and then go cut the grass. My body hurts, need a serious deload. It has probably been at least 8 weeks of heavy training, and work outside of my training sessions that really killed me. I will probably also move into some sort of carb backloading after this week. Going to really take the intensity down this week, and get some recovery.

Monday First Day of Much Needed Deload
Body felt awful this morning, that was the sign that a deload was needed. So here it is: Speed Bench 135 plus short minis x 8 x 3 super easy Lat Pulldown 115x15 205x3x10 115x12 Dips BW x 4 x 15 Shoulder Circuit lateral raise/front raise/ band pull aparts 3x20 Tricep Pushdown 70x15 Band Curls MM x 20 That is it, just enough to get the blood flowing and get some recovery going. Tomorrow I am just going to squat with 235 for maybe 5 sets of 5 or something and do some light good mornings. Need to recover, I think it will help everything. Muscles have a lot of fatigue in them, they need rest and I am really limiting caffeine intake this week to ensure good sleep. Have some serious signs of over reaching!

Deload Day 2
Lower body deload today, easy squats, just focused on some form issues and getting loose. did a lot of warm ups and rolling and stuff. Squats 145x2x5 235x5x5 This weight felt kinda heavy, that is not a good sign. But was just focusing on hitting really good depth and staying tight. Good smooth reps. Good Mornings 45x20 95x12 135x3x5 Reverse Hypers 90x3x15 That is it. True deload happening right now. I am going to try to eat big tonight and really help my body recover. I had a lot of aches and pains in my hips and left groin. Hoping this loosened everything up and now my body should be on its way to recovering. Thursday will be some reps with DBs on the bench. Nice and easy!

Deload Week, getting back to normal
Everything is starting to feel good again. This is usually where I really mess up on deloads and train heavy. So today I really tried to limit everything even though i was feeling good. Just hit some volume and got some prehab work in Dumbbell Bench Press 60s x 10 70s x 10 80s x 10 90s x 3 x 10 These were all very easy and smooth Lat Pulldown with wide neutral grip 160x2x15 205x2x10 250x2x8 205x10 Skull Crusher 45x20 85x3x10 Tricep Pushdown 130x2x15 Hammer Curls 40s x 4 x 10 Lateral Raises 15s x 3 x 15-20 That is it, did some serious rolling out. I need to focus on loosening my IT band a bit. I think that is what causes me discomfort in my lower back. I am feeling back to normal. Energy is better, I had more motivation in the gym today. I think this was a good deload for me. Not sure what training will look like this weekend, very busy weekend. We will see, I will probably hit speed squats sometime over the weekend.
