Thanks for the support guys!!! Really appreciate it.
Did a quick workout this morning, had the urge to squat again and put on some knee wraps. Squats 135x2x5 225x3 315x1 365x1 405x1 w/ knee wraps Partial Squats 315x3 365x3 singles Nothing serious, could have gone a lot heavier with the partials. I need to get more confident with heavy weights on my back. I really need more heavy ab work.

This week is my deload, I am going to squat in flat shoes this week. I have been using my adidas weightlifting shoes with a slight heel. I would like to feel the difference. I think the flat shoes will make sumos a bit easier.

Solid Deload workout
My forearm has been bothering me near my elbow, I did not get positioned right on squats on saturday. No big deal, nothing I can not train through Floor Press 135x2x5 225x3 255x1 275x1 295x1 315x1 Flew up 325x 2 singles, probably the most I have ever done on floor press!! 275x1, this is when the pain kicked in Neutral Grip Pulldown 5 reps to chin, 5 full reps 180x2 sets 225x 1 set, got ugly 205x2 sets 180x1 set Standing DB OHP, neutral grips 55s x 2 x 8 60s x 2 x 8 Tricep Pushdown 150x12 190x12 210 x 2 x 10 Neutral Grip Pull Ups BW x 2 x 10 Good workout, I will post some thoughts on pre workouts later. My mind is changing.

I am starting to see a common theme in my training. When I take less pre-workout I have better workouts. I feel much stronger and the heavier weights feel light.
Tonight I took maybe 1/2 scoop of k-otic and felt very strong on floor press. I was handling 325 with no spotter and no lift off. Over the last couple of months I have noticed that I feel very strong on deload workouts. And those are the weeks when I take less pre-workout. It has nothing to do with the actual product or brand I think I just take too much. My nerves get crazy, and I feel less solid. Like saturday, I felt uncomfortable with 415 on my back because I was shaky. Probably too much stimulants. And I have noticed on my max weeks of juggernaut I have crappy workouts. This is when I am taking a full serving of pre workout, and I get really jacked up but do not really perform that great. Moral of the story, I need to cut back on my pre workout stimulants. I think stimulants help a lot for high reps and long workouts. But when using max weight, they can make me feel shaky. The experiment will continue, tomorrow I am going to do speed squats and deads with only 1/2 scoop of k-otic and see how I feel. I may lessen the dose even more on thursday. Does any one else have this same feeling?

Tuesday Deload Lower Body
Really just lowered my volume today, had a fun workout. My experiment continues with taking less pre workout. I am hoping this will also allow me to sleep better. I took about 1/2 scoop of k-otic before my workout. It worked well, good focus and solid energy. Speed Box Squats ***all sets plus average bands 145x5 235x2x2 285x4x2 305x4x2 All sets felt very strong!! Rack Pulls 225x1 315x1 405x2 singles 455x1 These all felt very easy, first time I have done any conventional pulling in a while. Weights flew off the rack!!! Abs on GHR 3x20 Back Extensions Doubled mini around neck 3 x 15 -really tried to squeeze these at the top. Good pump and burn! I switched things up today and used my chucks. They felt awesome, the weight felt very solid and I felt I could push thru my heels better. I will continue to experiment with each of my shoes. Heeled vs flat. I think the flat shoes will really help my deads. I will continue to log my thoughts on less pre workout. I am going to try to stay around 1/2 scoop of k-otic. Possibly even less if my energy already feels good. Maybe a tiny bit more when I am tired. Very happy with the results so far.

I have been 99% off of pre-workouts this last 6 months. I save them for my big PR days, more as a crutch I guess.
