Lots of pain today, my back and knee were hurting. Just little nagging injuries that finally caught up to me. Time for a 2 week deload before this competition. My knee was tender this morning but I thought I would loosen up, not today Squats 145 x 2 x 3 235 x 3 285 x 3 325 x2 355 x 3 355 x 1 pain Add box 235 x 3 355 x 2, 1 Pushed through these a bit but could not do much else Deads with pause at a knee 225 x 3 x 3 These hurt shut it down Back extensions BW x 4 x 20 Just got some blood flowing Recovery work So I guess my 2 week deload will turn into 3 weeks. I might do some light events this weekend just to test the waters. Really going to focus on speed and recovery in the next couple weeks

Thursday quick workout
Work has been very stressful, the new business plan is killing us. Pushing me away Standing OHP 95 x 2 x 6 135 x 2 x 4 175 x 3 x 3 Back is still pretty bad, cleaning the weight was tough Pull ups BW x 12, 12, 10, 10, 9 Dips BW x 5 x 15 Short but good. Short rest time for dinner with the girlfriend

Friday straight line speed
Back is still hurting, but I think it is getting better. Should be fine for competition, going to force me to actually deload. Jump rope 3 minutes 40 yard sprints 8 sprints Decline sit ups 3 x 20 Poor man reverse hypers 3 x a bunch Probably a light session tomorrow to loosen up. Will see how the back feels

Saturday mostly recovery work
Kept it light, my back is feeling much better. Not 100% buy getting better Farmers walks 70 each hand x a bunch 160 each hand x 6 runs Focused on staying tight, as long as I stay tight my back feels pretty good. Bb curls 45 x 20 65 x 15 85 x 2 x 14 Push downs Random weight x 4 x 20 Mixed in poor man reverse hypers, band good mornings. Decline sit ups, and band x walks. Happy with this session, making progress to get healthy. 2 weeks out from competition. Going to do a 2 week deload. Focusing on getting my low back healthy.
