Monday Juggernaut Cycle 3, Bench
Felt pretty good today, I was sore from strongman, but this cold is almost gone. My appetite and energy really came back today. Close Grip Bench Press 135x2x5 185x3 225x3 240 x 6 sets x 5 reps Each set I paused the first rep and the last rep. These felt good. DB Rows 80s x 10 120s x 8 add straps 150s x 10, 9 120s x 16 DB Incline press, neutral grip 60s x 12 80s x 3 x 8 60s x 16, pumped Wide Tricep Pushdown 70x20 95x15 115 x 2 x 12, 8 70 x 17 Face Pulls 95 x 3 x 12 Band Pushdowns light band x 3 x25 Curls 75 x 2 x 15 Band Pull Aparts mini x 3 x 20 Awesome session today, a lot of my accessory work is being done either as a circuit or back and forth with a minimal amount of rest. Carb backloading is going well, I am getting the hang of it. I just need to make sure that I really crush food at night time. I am having a shake immediately post workout with protein, creatine and carbs. Then I try to get 2 really high carb meals in before bed time. I am going to monitor my weight closely.

Tuesday Conditioning-a little weird
Started off like a normal conditioning day Hill Sprints 6 sprints x about 50 yards Least amount of rest possible Went inside and got out my old Total Gym-that thing you see on infomercials, but I really like it. Did 2 circuits of 10-12 reps each Bench Press, Flys Curls Rows-neutral then regular Tricep Pushdown Arm Circles-forward and backwards This was intense, my upper body was burning all over. And I blew up, I have not done this in a long time. This is how I started, with this machine and it did wonderful things for me. I highly suggest it. I may use this more often for conditioning work After this I did some assisted pistols a couple triples on each leg. I really think my low back issues are from imbalances. I am going to start doing more single leg work and things like zombie squats. I think I twist when I squat, which is probably terrible for my back.

Wednesday Squats and Deads
Decent workout today, not much sleep due to some personal issues. But training always helps everything. Squats 145x2x5 235x2x3 325x 6 sets x 5 reps Weights felt good today, a lot of the reps were a bit of a grind. Deadlifts 135x2x5 225x5 315 x 4 sets x 5 reps Cut the volume a little today, I experimented with pausing at my knee on each rep. Diesel weasel had a video of these the other day. They are brutal, but force me to use good form Reverse Hyper 4 plates x 3 sets x 10-15 reps Walking Lunges 20lb Dbs x 4 sets x back and forth accross the gym Need to keep doing these. My lower back has been awful, not sure what it is. I am going to hammer away at recovery stuff. The reverse hyper gave me some relief today, I am going to do reverse hypers every day. I think benching is what really irritates my back. I am going to change my set up a little bit. Bench is really not that important right now, so I can not allow it to affect my other lifts. Tomorrow will be overhead press. Update: My gym just got a belt squat machine! Amazing, I will be adding that as a serious part of my training regimen.

Got some catching up to do. Life has been a little crazy lately. But I have gotten my training sessions in.
Thursday Standing OHP 95x2x5 145 x 6 sets x 5 reps- 1 min rest These felt really solid Pull Ups BW x 8 plus 25 x 6 plus 50 x 6,4 Plus 25 x 7 BW x 12 Dips BW x 12 plus 25 x 12 plus 50 x 8 plus 75 x 2 x 8 plus 25 x 12 Bw x 15 Shoulder Circuit 3 rounds KB lateral raise 15 x 12 KB front raise 15 x 12 Band Pull A parts x mini x 15-20 Arm Superset Hammer Curls 30s x 3 x 15 Pushdowns 150 x 3 x 20 Really solid session, everything felt great

Saturday Short Strongman
I will do more event work tomorrow, specifically farmers but felt like training today. Log C&P 105x2x5 145x2x3 195x2 215x1 235x1, felt terrible 250x1, kinda, did not lock out perfectly 215x3 sets x 2 reps Felt really off on the log, my balance was off. Did have some beers last night. Even when I am not hungover I think it still throws me off the next day. Tire Flips 5 sets x 5 flips -1 min rest These were pretty tough, but it should just be enough to loosen everything up without any soreness. Tomorrow I plan on just killing farmers walks and doing some recovery work.
