I was all set to do strongman today but before I could start it began smowing. O well I will do it tomorrow, I was a little hungover anyway. Did a little bit Power cleans 135 x 3 x 3 185 x 2 x 3 205 x 3 225 x 3, 2, 2, 1 Front squats starting at bottom position 135 x 2 x 3 225 x a bunch of singles Strongman tomorrow!

Thanks btb, I smashed the strongman, but I am looing forward to this football season being over It is tough to watch the eagles this year and they are already down 28-7. O well

Sunday Strongman
It was freezing out today, but I put on some more layers and crushed it.Once I got warmed up I felt great, and the sun was out so it is all good. Started a Strong-15 short cycle for my log press, going to focus on this for a while, since that is what will be in the competition. Log Press-clean once and press 105x2x5 145x4 175x3 195x2 215x1 225x1 235x1 175x 12 PR This is a pr, pretty much because I have never done this high of reps for log. I was expecting it to be higher, but I think this will be very helpful. Farmers-tons of volume *all sets were about 50 feet -weights are each hand 160 x 2 210 x 2 250 x 2 270 x 1 300 x miss 250 x 4 - this was the volume 270 x 1 why not Disappointed with the 600, I can pick this, but the issue is that I do my farmers on the side of the street. So it is not perfectly flat, this did not affect me too much until I get to near max weights. No excuses, just need to get stronger. Band Work Gms x 3 x 20 Curls x 3 x 20 Tri Extension x 3 x 20 -this was basically just to get some blood into my muscles, and make sure I was loose. I am starting to tighten up now and I am gonna feel this workout. Traps are blown up! Not sure what will happen tomorrow, gym closes early, not sure if I will have time to train at home. We will see if not I can train on tuesday at home. Happy new year to everyone at MAB

Thanks everybody, my training is going well right now. the next step is to get my nutrition on board and really take everything to the next level.
Starting next monday I am going to do another experiment with carb backloading, but I have a much better plan this time around. And I am really going to moniter my weight.

Holy Hangover!!!
First workout of 2013 was an interesting one. Had to bench in my basement, which is tough. I can not get any leg drive and my hand position has to be altered. Got close to hitting the reps so I am satisfied. I had a brutal hangover after last night and was not able to eat much today Close Grip Bench Press 135 x 2 x 5 185 x 5 225x3 255 x 1 275 x 7 Goal was 8 here, but I am ok with this, due to hangover and New Year's Eve festivities High Incline Bench off Pins 135 x 2 x 5 185 x 3 x5 these were tough, bar was set right at my chest Strict Rows 135x 10 185 x 4 x 8 This is where my hangover came back around Tricep Pushdown 90 x 20 90 plus doubled mini x 2 x 10 55 plus doubled mini x 2 x 15 BB Curls 45 x 20 75 x 15 95 x 3 x 10 Overall a pretty good session for the condition of my body. Tonight I am going to try to pack in some serious calories to get ready for tomorrow. Early bed time tonight, big squat workout tomorrow.
