Body felt very tired today, everything was a grind. Just feeling off, cut the volume on deads this week. For the deads, I did sets of 3 rather than 5 Squats 145x2x5 235x3 285x1 310 x 8 sets x 5 reps-60 seconds rest Just brutal, I was a sweaty mess. Heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest Deadlifts 135x5 225x2x3 320 x 8 sets x 3 reps-around 60 seconds rest, but a little more Still adjusting to conventional deads again, they are not hard just my back is worn by the time I start them. Reverse Hypers 2 plates x 2 x 15 4 plates x 2 x 15 Huge pumps in my lower and middle back. Going to cut back a little on my training. Also think I am going to look into the cube method for strongman. Tomorrow is OHP

Thursday OHP
Shoulders felt a little off today, but I still hit the reps easy. I am eliminating DE bench to see how it works out. Standing OHP 95x2x5 135x7 sets x 5 reps, 60 sec rest 135x8 reps, had plenty left in the tank Pull Ups BW x 5 x 8 Dips BW x 2 x 12 Plus light band x 3 x 10 BW x 15, 12 Neutral Grip Pull Ups BW x 2 x 8 Accessory Circuit 3 rounds no rest Tricep Pushdown Grenade Handle x 50 each arm x 3 sets x 12 reps Hammer Curls x 30s x 12 each arm Lateral Raise x 12s x 12 each This got an awesome pump going! Felt pretty good today, once I got loosened up. I think I slept wrong on my shoulders, but no big deal. Trained through it. Nytric: Really kicked in when I started the circuit, my arms blew up like balloons!!

Saturday Strongman Training
Serious session today, yesterday I did just a few sprints and loosened up. This morning, things got intense. All of my training is going well, except really for my deadlifts. But as long as everything else keeps going up, I am happy. It was extremely cold today with about 25 mph winds, just a brutal day. But I put on some extra layers and killed it! Log Clean and Press 105x2x3 145x3,1 195x1 215x1 235x1 260x Miss 260 x 1 PR Huge lift!! Log press is going up, searching for the 300 log press!! Farmers Walk 160 each hand x 2 x 50 ft 210 each hand x 2 x 50 ft 250 each hand x 2 picks only 250 each hand x 80 feet with a drop and re-pick at 40 feet for time -time was somewhere between 20 and 22 seconds (had my dad timing on my phone, and he is not very good with technology, haha) -This was awesome, much faster than I thought!! 18" Deadlift off Pins 225x3 315x3 405x1 455 x 2 singles 405 x 1 405 x 2 x 3 reps This is a very awkward height for me, but this is what I will have to do in competition. I will probably go pretty conservative on this event. Tire Simulation with Keg Full keg x 12 singles -only took about 15 seconds rest between these, almost one big set. Really tough to get a grip on the keg with so many layers on. Awesome session today, I am hurting now. Everything is tightening up, but very happy with this. Still looking to do a competition at the beginning of March, I hope I am ready. I just have no idea how I will stack up to my competition. The only event I am worried about is the stones, I just do want to make sure I can hit a rep or two. I will find somewhere to train stones at least a couple times. Might have to make a trip down to iron sport or something. I am obsessed with strongman!!

Monday Bench Press
Lifted in my basement today, gym closed early. Tough set up to bench in my basement, but got it done. CG Bench Press 135x2x5 185x3 225x1 250 x 7 sets 3 reps-60 seconds rest 250 x 8 reps This last set was a bit of struggle. But I was happy with the way bench went Bent Over Rows-strict 135x12 155x10 185x2x6 155x10 135x15 These were done perfectly strict, very difficult Seated OHP Bar x 20 95 x 3 x 15 Shoulders were feeling a little beat up so I just did some high reps. Seated due to low ceilings. Assistance Circuit BB Rows 45x 20 65 x 15 75x12 65x20 Tricep Pushdown 70 x 4 x 20 Upright Rows 45x20 65x15 75x10 65 x 20 Had to reset a couple times on these, burning! Good session today, very fun. I enjoy working out in the basement every once in a while, allows me to just get crazy and have fun. Nytric was crazy today. Both on the rows and the assistance circuit. Right now I am having trouble typing because my arms are so pumped!! Good stuff
