Interesting to see how this works out for you as you creep back towards your 5RM. I've never really used 5's for extended periods of time.

yeah im interested too. over th enext few months im gonna watch closely and see if it pushes up my 1RM , if by the end of summer it hasnt then ill switch it up |

Week 2 :Monday - Workout A
Squats 60 x 5 75 x 5 90 x 5 105 x 5 120 x 5 Bench 60 x 5 65 x 5 75 x 5 90 x 5 100 x 5 Pendlay Row 50 x 5 60 x 5 65 x 5 75 x 5 85 x 5 Assistance Hanging Straight Leg raise : as many sets as it takes to get a total of total of 75 (15,15,15,12,12,6) Preacher Curls : 3 sets of 8 [20kg DB] Notes yeah grand , no issues. decided i am gonna do things like weighted dips/pull ups etc to a specific number. each week ill up the number or aim to reduce the sets needed to get there. all will be weighted. |
