Great idea to get those paused reps going on the bench. Stout work indeed. Regarding the gym etiquette, I always invite others to work in because it's just good manners and I hope others would do the same for me. It can be a pain in the arse in the power rack like yesterday when I was doing clean and press (behind the rack so anyone who wanted to do squats could do so) and some guy wanted to do deadlifts. I allowed him in but ended up speeding up my 5x5 push press which wasn't a good idea. It's much easier to allow someone to share when you're both doing the same exercise!

5/3/1 Cycle 3 Wk 1
Squat Squat 531 [Goal] Actual [90x5] 90x5 [100x5] 100x5 [115x5+] 120x5 stopped at 5 on work set and went for a few singles 150x1 160x1 - Gready PR effort , failed , not by much , got stuck halfway up! ![]() 155x1 PR Assistance 1.Squats: 5 sets of 5 (100kgs) 2.SS with WGPU 5 sets of 5 ABz 3.Hanging Straight Leg Raise : 4 sets of 15 Notes disappointed to miss the 160 but still set a new PR so cant complain. my aim is to have 160 as my opener for the comp in Feb. will smash it out on week 3 (i hope!) |
