Bench 40kg x 3 60kg x 3 80kg x 1 90kg x 1 100kg x 1 105kg x 1 110kg x 1 115kg x 1 Gym PB and equal meet PB 120kg x F +Reactive Slingshot 120kg x 1 125kg x 1 130kg x 1 Default PB 135kg x F DB Rows 41kg x 10 x 5 Must admit I was pretty disappointed today. This was a 6am session as I'm away for a few days which threw a spanner in the works. Wanted the 120 but just didn't have it in me today, mind was barely in the session. First time pushing heavy in the slingshot, 135 felt like a ton to unrack and fell out of the groove. Just need to get used to the sling and I'll be stronger with it and I'm 100% certain the heavy work will carry over. Need to rush off and get the dog to the kennels and get my ass to Edinburgh with the fam. Meals may be scarce so the Seefood diet is in full effect and I hear there's a buffet all you can eat breakfast. Next session will be Thursday evening following the same setup but with higher maxes otherwise I really will be pissed!

05/04/12 - Bench
Bench 40kg x 3 60kg x 3 80kg x 1 90kg x 1 100kg x 1 105kg x 1 110kg x 1 115kg x 1 120kg x 1 PB 125kg x F +Reactive Sling 125kg x 1 130kg x 1 135kg x 1 PB (Ass up cheat) 140kg x 1 PB (Ass up cheat) 145kg x F Didn't feel amazing going in, stomach has been funny from eating pretty crap the last few days. Setup wasn't amazing for the raw stuff but I've figured a few things out and I think the setup for the 135/140 sling reps was a lot better, used leg drive to unrack and carried it through although form went to crap soon after. Was determined to get the 120 but still disappointed to miss the 125. Amazed I got the 135kg (yes it was bounced) and even though I cheated it a little I thought why not go for 3pps!? Little bit of grinding and cheating but it went up. No time or energy for assistance, will get some upper back work in tomorrow. Ignore the noises .

Consistent form, fast eccentrics. I don't think you're too far away 125. Maybe a kg.

That's already a 5kg PR which ain't easy on the bench. Add another 5kg and your recent experiment will have yielded significant fruit (it already has!).
