Get that knee recovered. Does it bother you at all on push presses or pendlays?

Thanks swede, knee is first priority right now.

Didn't bother me in the session at all today or the ride there and back. It was only when I squatted down to untie my shoes afterwards that I got a nasty pain and it's only when my weight is rocked forward onto my toes.

17/01/12 - Deadlift 5/3/1 +Singles

Deadlifts
60kg x 5
80kg x 5
100kg x 3

120kg x 5
140kg x 3
152.5kg x 1

170kg x 1
180kg x 1
190kg x 1

Side Bends
25kg plate x 15,15,15,15

Shrugs
60kg x 15
100kg x 12
120kg x 8,8 (Straps)
60kg x 40 +hold (No straps, grip work)

Strong deadlift day, bad day for squats. Knee is really not happy squatting, felt a bad twinge today warming up with some split squats. Still, pain free deadlifts although I did open some old shin scars today so lots of blood.

No squat assistance, went with some shrugs instead of my normal static holds as my upper back is the most taxed part in heavy deads at the minute. Deadlifts felt slow but looked faster on video. Definitely some more in it.

That's some nice deadlifting mate. Perfect motivation for my own deadlift session in an hour That 190kg looked fairly strong from where I'm sitting.

Some great lifting going on in here JT and it's awesome to see that you're planning on competing.

Just watched the deadlift video and the 190 looks easy, you've definitely got more in the tank.

Thanks Hazzard. Will be competing at the BDFPA Northern Qualifiers on 28th Jan, looking forward to it and hopefully smashing my deadlift PB.

Deadlifts are looking really good. Strong and powerful.

Are regular squats giving you grief, or just the split squats?

Thanks BtB, really happy with deads right now and hoping to break 200kg soon, hopefully at the meet. Still I think I will be conservative and open at 180.

Regular squats too right now, I have until Saturday to feel confident enough to squat and have knee sleeves coming tomorrow to help keep them warm. I need to take a lot more care handling heavier weights, lesson learned.
