Hamstrings have been crazy sore today, I hate having to sit through lectures in cramped seats, hamstring DOMS is the worst!

Bench day tomorrow though, bag is packed, I just need to get some good sleep then a weekend of food and rest. I think I can sense an all you can eat chinese with unlimited ice cream coming soon.

You aren't kidding,. For 20 years I would have very bad hamstring DOMS the day after squatting. Hard to sit still many days.

04/11/11 - Bench 3x3

Bench Press

Mini band doubled around wrists to help grip the bar tight and keep back tight.
40kg x 5
50kg x 5
57.5kg x 3
67.5kg x 3
77.5kg x 3

No more band.
87.5kg x 3

Singles
90kg x 1
97.5kg x 1

Dumbbell Bench
22kg's x 12
24kg's x 12
26kg's x 12
28kg's x 12,8

Neutral Grip Pull-Up (Bench Supersets)
BW x 7,7,7,7,7,6,6,6,6,6

Dumbbell Rows
30kg x 12(5 sets)

Tri Pushdown/Facepulls
15kg x 20/20 (3 sets)

My set up for bench felt amazing today, never had so much leg drive or felt so tight. 97.5kg was fastest of the day and at 2.5kg off my best it was too easy. I just hope I can find this form again and I'll have an easy PB. Definitely feeling good about my lifts at the minute, time for some red meat .

I thought I'd give it a go a month ago as I had the band and it seems to be helping me a lot with my technique. By the time I get to my work sets and get rid of it I automatically grip tight and row the bar.

Your form looks good to me. Is there a reason for not using the aternate grip?

Not really, I've used alternate since I started lifting but thought I'd give hook grip a go last month. There are good reasons for both so wanted to try them for myself.
