Not heavy. It'll take some breaking in for at least a few weeks to get the 3 lifts into one session.

Ye Weds will be heavy press only but pressing 3 days a week is nothing. Having a heavy Monday and Friday doesn't worry me too much, any fatigue is usually dealt with by a crap session following so a natural deload.

Also, my use of heavy is misleading, all I mean is a very close variation of the comp lift or the comp lift itself rather than a purposely lighter variation.

11/03/13 - Squat & Stop

Squat w/Belt
180kg x 1 @7.5
140kg x 9 @8.5
140kg x 1 @8.5

CGBP
Up to 100kg x 1, elbows painful and form off so called it.

SLDL
100kg x 8 x 2, couldn't be arsed.

Was bloody freezing and late and I hadn't eaten all day and had sat on trains and.........

Squat form felt solid. My final verdict on oly shoes with my low bar squat is a no, going to do some high bar with them I think.

Great work here JT . you have added loads of kgs to the bar over the last few months.

Thinking about next few weeks, might switch to 3 days a week, something like:
Mon - Squat/Bench/Dead
Tue - Rest/Abs
Wed - Squat/Press/Upper back & pump work
Thu - Rest/Abs
Fri - Dead/Bench/Squat
Heavy lower Monday and Friday, maybe alternate weekly between 2 bench/1 press and 2 press/1 bench. Maybe just push the upper back & pump to Saturday and add an extra press, been enjoying pressing/benching 4 days a week. A little variation but not much, probably fronts on Weds to keep it lighter.

I was going to return to reps and forget the top end stuff but my plan right now is to work up to a top set, probably a single but maybe up to a triple, and then back off work with higher reps. Only for one exercise each day though, nothing like today with form break down but confidence and technique building.

Sure it will evolve but something like this. Whilst I'm home for easter I'll likely have a couple weeks of 6 days with access to garage.

Random thoughts.
Nice looking plan. Lately ive been doing a three day a week and im finding it a nice set up.
Also , 105.8kg ! you are exactly where I was a few months ago…. Seems we have swapped weight classes

Interesting to hear this , ive been watching how you would fair out with the oly shoes as we have mentioned them a few times since I got my pair.
I am a high bar squatter so no issues with them for me lately ( famous last words!! )

Cheers Al, yeh I'm happy, deadlift has stagnated a little but ready to start pulling conventional with less fear of ribs popping again.

Ye, I need to build up my ability to squat and dead in the same session again and have little time so makes sense. Ha, yup, I can't stop myself, I remember the day when I was planning on sticking around 82.5kg! Whoops.

They felt good for high bar today.

13/03/13 - Squat, Press & Row

Oly Squat short hand for raised heels, high bar from now on
100kg x 8 @7
100kg x 8 @7
100kg x 8 @7

BTNPP
80kg x 3 @7
80kg x 3 @7.5
80kg x 3 @7

Pendlay Rows
110kg x 5 @7.5
110kg x 5 @8
110kg x 5 @8.5

BB Shrugs
110kg x 10
140kg x 10
160kg x 10

Not bad, rather than blowing my load early on I thought I'd go easy today and build up over the weeks.

These squats get my lower back pumped, which I despise, no fun.

Presses were crap, elbows and shoulders still a little funked.

Decided that deads would simply be replaced with heavy rows today. Not done these in a while, felt awesome, lats destroyed and no lower back pump or at least minimal compared to squats.

Love the plan. Great work JT. Squats look awesome. Big rows. Take care of those joints!

Had to laugh, second set with pressing is always the easiest/best for me. First and third are worst.

Thanks Mike, squats feel it which I'm happy about. No joint pain today, just muscle fatigue so it's all good.

I usually get better as I go along but I was getting crushed on the catch second set, that and the high bar and sweaty t-shirt started to tear my skin a little so they felt awful.

15/03/13 - Squat, Dead & Bench

Squat Wrestling shoes, no belt
110kg x 8 @7
110kg x 8 @7
110kg x 8 @8

Deadlift w/Belt
190kg x 1 @7
200kg x 1 @7.5
170kg x 3 @7
170kg x 3 @7
170kg x 3 @7

Reactive Slingshot Paused
100kg x 8 @7
100kg x 8 @8.5
WTF?

Squats felt good, all controlled knees out, slight sit back and explode.

Planned to pull last but all the benches were taken and I had a decent bar to pull with. Warm-ups felt amazing, never pulled so fast. Form was surprisingly good considering I haven't pulled conventional at all this year. Hook grip for working sets. Some quick triples as back off with short rest. Feeling really strong here.

Couldn't bench. Not used sling in ages and it was a bitch to get on but wanted to give elbows a break today. Felt awkward pressing and my triceps felt like they were going to explode. Can do this shit raw, all work though.

Maybe some fluff tomorrow to get me out of the flat and get some blood flowing.
