Cheers. It's days like Saturday that put me off losing this power belly and moobs, onwards to 3pps or a lower BF.

04/03/13 - Big 3

Squat w/Belt
180kg x 1 @7.5
190kg x 1 @8.5
195kg x 1 @9.5

Close Grip Bench
112.5kg x 1 @7
122.5kg x 1 @8.5
130kg x 1 @9.5 +2.5kg PB over any bench grip

SLDL
180kg x 1 @7
190kg x 1 @8.5

Felt good all weekend so was going to steam through the week and not take it easy this week but once I got going all the fatigue came through. Light day Wednesday and maybe a Saturday session.

This applies to all lifts but in particular squats, my RPE's take a sudden jump around 1-2's ~@9. As soon as my lifts get heavy and start to slow I shit the bed. Still, as long as I hold form together I don't care for now, I have no plans to compete.

Happy with squat form, deeper than I thought though. Everything felt heavier so more in there on a good day easily.

Bench felt great and real happy to get a PB, paused and no wraps. Closing in on 3pps.

No chance I was going to pull anything heavy today so thought I'd hit a SLDL single to put a total together. Looks and felt slow but still felt strong with it. This is slower and harder from the floor than the sumo I've been trying to get used to so I'm confident SLDL's will make a big difference there.

[Edit - Either touching too low or flaring too soon with the benching]

Can't wait to see you nail 300 on those close grips. Any clue where you were this time last year on them?

It's not far off now. This time last year the only close grip stuff I did was 70kgx8x5. My best triple was 97.5kg with my old comp grip but I did hit a 115kg bench in a meet. To be honest, not great progress, I've gained pretty much as many kg's body weight as I have on my bench in a year.

Thanks SO.

06/03/13 - Squat & Bench

Squat w/Belt
160kg x 3 @7.5
170kg x 3 @8.5

Close Grip Bench
105kg x 3 @7
115kg x 3 @8

Quick top set for each. Squats were off. Bench felt solid, paused too.

Another 2 days rest.
