Hey, just saw this and thought of you.

I'm going to try it too.

Btw, I heard a Chris Duffin tutorial about Ab rollouts and he talked about not arching your back so much, but crunching up your abs and sort of relaxing your upper back so that you reduce strain on the lower back. Lower back strain is my bigest problem with rollouts, so I'm going to give this a try. He doesn't really explain how to do it, but I get the general theme he is going for. We'll see.

Let me know if any of this is helpful for you. I will tell you whatever I learn from my end.

Cheers.

Thanks for sharing Mike. Would love to set that up, might try and get a plank and stick it on the balcony, maybe dismantle my desk . Ross Enamait is one of the people that got me into lifting when I just had a punch bag, skipping rope and pull-up bar in my garage, he's an animal.

I picked that up somwhere too, my lower back used to be trashed and I imagine I looked like I was trying to hump the floor. I get into a rounded back dl position now at the top and breath like a squat and it feels great.

Certainly helpful, if I learn anything I'll let you know.

Best progress in those pictures is the thoracic flexibility/mobility and the fact that its no longer a hunched forward horrible position. Lots of upper back work and rear delt work has rid me of all the crappy shoulder stuff I used to get with that horrible posture.

Funny to note that back then (first pics) I thought bodybuilders were stupid for wanting to get so big and powerlifters were ego fueled muppets. And now I'm a closet bodybuilder and aspiring powerlifter.

15/01/13 - Sq/Be/De

Squat w/Loose Belt
120kg x 6 @7.5

150kg x 6 @8.5 PB

POR Bench
80kg x 6 @7
95kg x 6 @8

105kg x 6 @8.5 PB

Sumo w/Loose Belt
180kg x 1 @7.5

200kg x 1 @9 PB

No time this week, left exam work too late so probably only 2 sessions this week. After a 2 hour exam this morning it felt like I'd been sat in one of these and my lower back was cramping.

Decided to start breaking in the single prong belt I got for christmas.

Never felt so strong and stable w/ squats, it was nothing on my back. Looking at the footage I could probably put it down to an @8 but it felt like all my speed had gone on that last rep. Deciding to become a fatty has its advantages.

Bench was OK, going to stick with close grips though, form has improved with the extra tricep stuff so will push that.

I had nothing left for sumo's, @9 purely from fatigue, lower back was shot but was an easy default PB.

Lots of thoughts today, head is full of crap.
