Cheers buddy, I intend to.

Now then, I haven't done this for years but it seems appropriate now... some actual concrete goals:

Bench Press 180kg/396lbs singles
3 Boards 180kg/396lbs triples
Bench Press 160kg/352lbs triples
CGBP with Bands 150kg/330lbs triples

Squat 245kg/540lbs singles
High Box Squat 220kg/484lbs triples
Partial Squat 270kg/594lbs triples

Sumo DL 245kg/540lbs singles
Partial Dead 270kg/594lbs triples
Trap Bar Deficit 220kg/484lbs triples

They're all about 20kg-30kg up from what I established this week. I will eventually move to full gear (shirts/suits) in my training so that will help with achieving these numbers too. I would ideally do them in full gear at around 90kg bodyweight. A healthy timelime seems perhaps 4-6 months.

November 6th, 2011

Workout Time: ???

Workout Grade: D+

Quads and ankles were a bit tender from my last squats (w/chains) session, but I was strong. The reps with 455 went up fairly easily.

Deadlifts were another story. My right knee was not feeling good so I shut down my work. I have had this happen before on sumos when I tried to do too much too soon. I think next week I am dropping sumos and sticking with conventionals. Sumos can be beneficial, but I need to invest time when the time is right - if that makes sense.

My daughter and nephew worked out with me today. They did great and I am very proud of them.

Squats
145 x 5
235 x 3
325 x 1
375 x 1

455 x 1
455 x 1
455 x 1
455 x 1
455 x 1

Sumo Deadlifts
Bar x 8
135 x 5
225 x 2
410 x 3
410 x 1 - shut it down
375 x 1

Nice session Steve. I'm decreasing the frequency with which I pull sumo as well. They're good but they take a while to recover from when they're heavy.

Thanks Al.

I have some weakness that is exposed by sumos. Perhaps they are best worked on deload weeks with light weight.

Sumos hit the small muscles in my hips and abductors hard. The bigger muscles recover quickly but they don't.
